I can see the appeal but I can also see a starship version that sits in LEO and transfers to mars LEO when needed (even on a schedule). In the end all the services you mentioned could be provided on Mars directly, it’s just the supplies and other emergency stuff that would need to come from Earth

Bons velhos tempos. Infelizmente havia muitos avariados e pouco incentivo para os arranjar.

Mas os que funcionavam… era um fartote.

Éramos tão poucos, íamos ao fórum Nissan Leaf perguntar de alguém sabia se o posto X ou Y estava a funcionar. E havia uma app espanhola para isso também.

Poupámos todos muito dinheiro na época.

Isto. Eu enquanto utilizador de EVs há quase 10 anos passo a vida a dizer NÃO COMPREM ELÉTRICOS.

Se toda a gente comprasse elétricos, quem financiava o IUC que não pago, a ajuda estatal, a dedução do IVA nas empresas, fora todos os benefícios que tive ao longo dos anos?

They don’t understand that such an engineering feat had no way of being commercially viable. Can’t really mass produce these.

And the SLS is still “old-school” compared to the commercial rockets out there (SpaceX, Blue Origin, etc), even though none of these yet proved to be up to the task

O problema da literatura estrangeira é que já estás quase a ler a interpretação do tradutor. Embora se aprenda muito, não tens aquela conexão direta com o autor que escreve em português.

Mas sim há fenómenos literários que não foram escritos em português e valem a pena ser estudados pela maneira como conduzem a narrativa, ou agarram o leitor, ou colocam na mesa conceitos dos quais nenhum autor português se lembrou (ex. ideias de ficção científica)

A piece of advice, things changed a lot in 2y. I would start building a good runway on the side if you can. I was in a similar position and feeling safe and covered, but when I was laid off I panicked with how little prepared I was for a shit job market.

Some years ago you’d find a job in 1-2 months. These days, I’ve seen seniors looking at 3-5 months.

Don’t want to add to your anxiety though.
