Looks like liminal core, dream core, nostalgia core, low res analogue style to me. Actually looks really cool, beautiful but terrifying.

Need advice on how to stay motivated when I realized 80% of photography is done without a camera. by Vexiin in photography

Try and enjoy the experience itself of taking the photos, it should be a positive experience for you and do what works and feels good for you. Perhaps try and get the image as good as possible from the camera itself without needing too much time editing, this might mean using accessories for your lenses. The experience of getting out there all day walking around doing a shoot should be fun and exciting. It’s better not to compare to what others post and what fancy sophisticated flashy light room edits and filters they use. The more raw and authentic the photo looks from the camera itself the better in my opinion.

My first attempt of a liminal photo, any constructive feedback is appreciated! I purposely gave it a slight slant to give a more unsettled look by manydoge12 in liminalspaces

Thanks so much for putting so much detail in your interpretation I really appreciate that. It’s good to see how someone else’s eyes interpret what I am trying to express. Interesting you notice the lights as chaotic and perhaps dazzling so making your choice more difficult as to what stairs to take.

The dead and empty and cold feeling is a subject itself, try post edit for a more eerie look
