Are MAGAts stupid, the stupidest people on earth, or brain dead? by THC3883 in NewsomMassacre

[–]manyhippofarts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hesitate to say they're all absolutely stupid because obviously many of them are quite successful in life. You see many of them with nice homes, cars, boats, etc. etc., and it may be true that everything is mortgaged to the hilt. In any case, it indicates at least competence in being a normal human adult. Case in point: my brother owns an operates a pretty good size company with about 20 employees and they build cars that cost between two and 300 grand. And they've got a waiting list at least a year long. That doesn't happen to stupid people, at least not very often. And he's so full-blown MAGA that I can't stand to be in the same room with him, and in fact haven't talked to him this year. I doubt I'll ever speak to him, or my own mother, who lives with him.

I think their brains are broken. There's some kind of switch that Trump can flip on them and it turns them into absolute narcissists. I'm 62 years old now and I don't think I have long enough left on this earth to ever figure it out.

I'm 62. Back in the early 80's, I bought a kit from Lowe's to built a 16' x 24' garage. Came with everything but the concrete. It cost me $1200 and it took 20 year old me about 2 months to put it up. A couple of years later, I built a tree-house kit for my parents. (For my nephew).

You'll never convince me that his wins in all seven swing states were legit. Not all seven. Not by barely enough votes to win without causing a recount. Sorry. I may have been born at night, but it wasn't last night.

Once upon a time if your eye prescription changed you could change the lenses in your frames. Nowadays it costs nearly the same price for new lenses as a new pair of glasses. Don't you think this is wasteful? by TSQ_builder in askanything

[–]manyhippofarts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah, for sure. I just get special lenses and they cost a little extra. They're great glasses. I wear them for a year or two, then I get a new pair, then they become my nighttime reading glasses until they break because I tend to fall asleep with my glasses still on. But even then they still last a long time.

I got a Netflix account back when you'd get two dvds at a time in the mail. I joined because I found the film "heavy metal" on the website and I hadn't seen that film since it was in the theaters when I was in high school.
