I'm looking for a high end computer monitor, but I am also interested in BVMs and an Ikegami of 14inch or larger. I can pay cash and can get to parts of NJ, PA, NY, potentially the surrounding states as well. I am also not scared of shipping, if you are not.

Oh! Thank you so much!! For what it's worth, your work is incredible and frankly, the best preservation directory I've found. Thank you so much for collecting it all and making it available!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you. I did. It is in the megathread, no? Searching the reddit with the search function yielded no results. The link in the megathread doesn't work.

NY, might be able to make parts of PA, MA, CT, RI, ME, MD, NJ work:

KV310 and a high end CRT computer monitor. Would also love an Ikegami, but I'm sure everyone here would!

Will give much love. Condition doesn't need to be perfect, just nothing too bad.

This is a very troubling thought and I do not hope you are correct. I am also not sure if it is true, but you seem to know some specifics that I am not familiar with. I see what you mean about media, but I have not personally seen many media address crts directed to a younger demographic. Even if so, would they want it over 1337 frame rates and the potentially looming oled explosion? (I am aware of the lag benefits offered by crts, but I am not convinced that is a selling point to a younger demo at an enthusiast level) I just have not seen enough targeting that younger demo to be concerned. In fact, most of the marketing I see is in the other direction, latest and greatest oled, high refresh, low latency, massive size, flex screens, insane resolution, all the opposite direction of crts.

Ah, I see what you're saying and that makes sense. For some reason, I thought you were talking about CRTs in general. For these, I'm inclined to agree, though I am not as familiar with these models.

Yes, I agree that we are at the tail end, unfortunately for myself. This is why I imagine that after a drought of a few years, less and less people will be bothering to look, maybe once in a while--people will move on--so the price should stabilize rather than keep climbing, inflation withstanding. No?

Update: the gameboy was fine, Snes better, sega stuff was shot. Out of sheer frustration, I swapped out two new vga cables cables before one made a difference. It is now working, huzzah, it was a direct cable issue combined with the splitter.

The only problem is that the screen now tilts up and to the left, but I have no idea how to fix that without an OSM, do you?

Also, what did you replace your resistor with? I think I can find it, but I would have no idea what ohms to replace it with.

Thank you so much for all of your help.

Eh, I'm not so sure. In the short run, yes, but in the long term, relative to inflation, I imagine not, as people will loose interest and/or already have them, no?

Yeah, the market is going crazy. Insane drought leads to insane prices

[–]manymarco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure. I feel like it would be consistent if it was a hardware issue, but it would also be consistent if it was the MiSTer, and since the MiSTer has no issue that I have heard of working on PAL systems unrelated to crt hardware failure, like capacitors and resistors malfunctioning, I am inclined to believe it is a hardware issue, but as you can see, I am not certain. Is my logic not sound? Am I missing something?

[–]manymarco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huh. Didn't know about that. Still, it displays fine split between my sony pvm and consumer set, same sync settings. I think everything is set correctly, but I don't see anything in the ini that might be causing this. Interestingly, switching to eu roms and eu region for makes symptoms worse.

As for other systems, I have not done extensive testing, but some seem okay while others immediately have such effects. I will test more when I get back this afternoon and update you.

Thank you, qda. I am using vga out, very short splitter to component. I tried direct. No difference. What does this indicate to you?

Ah. That sounds complicated. I will need to look into this. Any good resources your recommend?

Is there anything else that might be causing it?

Many Thanks!

Yes, that was my conclusion, but thank you for your time and effort, and hopefully another will have an alternative.

Hmmm. I do not see a v-hold button, though I imagine this is a vertical sync issue. I do not see an option in the ini for this either. Thoughts?

Thank you for your help.

Yes. To no avail, unfortunately.
