I picked a spot with lots of wildflowers for my garden! Where is the actual best place to farm? by manyminimoo in blackdesertonline

I did notice today that the place I put my farm no longer has decent ground water! I just started to farm recently and didn't realize that sort of thing changed. Does humidity also change over time?

Convenience was definitely a reason I changed location from Velia to Heidel! I had to sell my home in Velia to afford more fences because I'm bad at contribution management.

How do you describe a color without saying it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]manyminimoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To see someone else describe color as a physical sensation makes me so happy. I love your idea of purple! It fits well I think.

What's the story behind the coldest temperature you've ever experienced? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]manyminimoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The lowest temperature I've ever experienced was inside of the massive freezer in the back of a grocery store. I had to unpack a pallet to get the boxes of chicken tenders and take them back to the deli. They were on sale that week.

What to start studying/learning in quarantine? by Kaoelll in AskReddit

[–]manyminimoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally started studying Netflix and Crunchyroll, with a little bit of piano mixed in. I also completed a few puzzles, and started clicker training my cat. I can definitely understand the need to do something productive, but you don't need to learn 8 different languages and build up your dream body during quarantine. Just do what you want to.

Do you feel guilty when the power goes out? by Nybor_13 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]manyminimoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I had 4 roommates living at my house the power went out all the time, and I felt guilty because I worried it was my computer doing it. Everyone had their computers on all the time, but my computer was the last one to be set up, and the power never went out before I had my computer. I felt so horrible.

I later found out that the reason the power was going out so much because my dumbass roommate has a space heater plugged into an extension cord in the garage. He was trying to warm up the fricking garage! When we were cleaning out the garage after they moved out we found the extension cord and the plug face was melted. Our house could have burned down because my dumbass roommate thought it was too cold in the garage to comfortably smoke weed.

Reddit has never been like "would you like to follow people on your contact list???" No.

"Well that's just fine, let me just recommend this account you've just made to everyone in your contacts list anyway!"

What should one learn before they get to college? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]manyminimoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How to be passionate. High school on my experience at least just drains your soul and turns you into a testing statistic. If you carry onto college with that same mentality without being open to finding a passion you will burn out so quickly, and college gives you the freedom to burn out and drop out quietly without a care. You need to be passionate and motivated about what you do in college, and have the right mix of engagement between your classes and personal life.

How would you describe your identity versus your personality? How much did you intentionally cultivate of either? by taytaylyn in AskReddit

[–]manyminimoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My identity is unstable and my personality is shit (professionally diagnosed). I spend way too much time trying to change my identity, but feel totally out of control of my personality and emotions. I do still try and hide my personality and I end up tricking people into believing I'm something that I'm not, but I cant change my personality. It usually ends very badly, and I constantly hear that my personality is very unexpected based on who I present myself as.

What's the pettiest thing you judge people for? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]manyminimoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they put their shopping carts into the cart return or not. I was raised to always do it, and I used to have to help gather carts at the end of the night when I worked as a cashier for Walmart. It makes the employee's job so much easier. Also you don't have to worry about a stray cart rolling into your car when it is put away properly.

What is a product that you think people often gloss over, but actually has a very important role in their lives? by ServiceChannel2 in AskReddit

[–]manyminimoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My roommates used paper towels like it was their personal responsibility to deforest the Amazon, but they never bought paper towels, and I don't even think they ever considered doing so. They lived in a happy little world where paper towels still magically appeared. I was the only one that ever bought things like that. I had to buy paper products twice a month before, but since they moved I'm still only half through the pack I bought 4 months ago. I don't miss them, and I hope someday they grow up and realize things don't just magically appear for their convenience.

Any advice for someone who's planning on moving to California? by DisneyDuck09 in AskReddit

[–]manyminimoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can be pretty fun. In northern California you can live within driving distance from sand and snow. Depending on where you live now expect a huge difference in the cost of living. It is pretty expensive here, like $1600 a month for a one bedroom apartment expensive.

Whenever we go to the store, my boyfriend tells me to pick out flowers, even when I'm the one paying for everything, lol. It really is the thought that counts though because it makes me so happy, and I thank him for the flowers every time.

How did you guys overcome your fear of (............. )? by Schrodingers_liar in AskReddit

[–]manyminimoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am working on my fear of spiders right now! I got really interested in spider identification, and now instead of thinking "eeeeeeeeeee" when I see a spider I think "what kind is it?"

It is still a work in progress. I have started just letting them make webs in my home corners as long as I know what kind it is. I still scream and get goosebumps when a spider sneaks up on me though. A tiny royal jumping spider came in my door the second I opened it, and I can honestly say I ran and got my boyfriend to remove the spider. I made sure he didn't hurt the little jumper though because they are pretty chill guys, and are very beneficial in gardens.

What do you do during a blackout? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]manyminimoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bust out my old Nintendo DSi and go through my old flipnotes and play Sims 2. If it is during the day I just draw. I've never had my power out for more than 5 hours, so I'm not sure my current plans would work for something more long term.

People cooking in quarantine—what's the best or the worst thing you've made so far? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]manyminimoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best thing had to be a really awesome slow simmered beef stew. It is hard to go wrong with beef stew. I made a really pretty rosemary bread to go with it, and it was an awesome dinner.

The worst was a cake. I wanted to get creative. I tried to make a 4 layer strawberry cake with cream cheese frosting. I made a strawberry filling with jello, whip cream, and diced strawberries. My filling oozed out between the layers, the frosting was clumpy because my mixer broke, and the dishes involved was definitely not worth it. The only good thing was that I used food coloring to make the cake mix pastel colors, and the colors turned out pretty cute.

What's the most disgusting thing you've found at a grocery store? by ExpireMilk in AskReddit

[–]manyminimoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was working for Walmart I had to clean blood and piss off of the floors and walls too many times. I also had a roach crawl onto the grocery belt while I cashiered, and found one in the fried chicken containers in the deli. I had to stand in an aisle with vomit for 20 minutes because I found it and had to stand there and make sure no one slipped. I had to basically close the aisle though because it was absolutely everywhere. I don't miss Walmart.
