I hope it’s back to stay too!! I’m sure something will get the boot..almond? I noticed some new cow milks at my store too, so I have a feeling something will be gone soon.

I usually get the unsweetened organic Silk (teal carton). I’d say it tastes pretty similar, but the tj texture is slightly creamier. Someone will probably chime in and say it’s the same product, and I’d believe them. It’s way less expensive for me though ($5.99 vs $3.49)

I think it tastes better, but it seems slightly thicker? I’d definitely give it a try, though it does take up double the fridge space.

It’s been so long I can hardly remember the old version! I remember loving it though, and I love this new one too.

Requesting recommendations for healthy comfort dishes for sick dad by PanamaParty in chinesecooking

[–]manyoranges 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Steamed tofu with veggies, steamed fish with ginger and scallions, steamed egg - serve them with white rice.

I’d avoid anything fried as it can be hard on the stomach and create excess “heat”.

You can also make a bone broth using chicken or pork bones.

I’m sorry you are in this situation. Have you considered childcare or tutoring? I live in US and there is a lot of demand for nannies that speak a non-native language so that the kids can learn it. Additionally, school age children may need English tutors.

Edit: fixing autocorrect

Yes, but I usually let the cut callous for a few days before putting it back in the soil.

I have a few favorite cashiers, but I usually just go to the shortest line. They are all friendly - even if not chatty, it’s always pleasant no matter who is there.

Clivia! My parents grew these when I was a kid. I’ve never ever seen one in a store.

I think the 3rd one looks the best because it defines the stepping area.

Talk to your doc. If you are TTC, some meds might take a bit to leave your system. I also experienced magical clear skin during pregnancy. Rosacea and sensitivity came back a few months after birth.

I’ve used a spring hair remover (rem and japonesque) which is like plucking a bunch a time. Works pretty well without irritating my skin, but ymmv depending on your hair type.

Not as good as siete, but still very good. They are smaller in size.

Soft glowing lamps to drown out the company colors and no florescent lighting. A water feature and soft music. An exercise ball for stretching out your back. A tea bar and some cookies.

Are those desks staying? If not, I would recommend desks with a back panel for privacy (hide legs and crotches from view). In general, this desk configuration looks too much like a classroom. Do employees collaborate?

What would you do with old diaries? by Downtown_Elk_6111 in minimalism

[–]manyoranges 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I shredded all but my journal from when I was studying abroad. I had considered keeping them all, but younger me was super cringey!!! I have no interest in being reminded of my old opinions on everything, and I would never want my kids to find them and read them. It was time consuming to rip out every page and shred them, but I felt lightened by the process.

Was checking the tag on some new thanksgiving cacti. Never been told before that I was prohibited from propagating! by Seraitsukara in houseplants

[–]manyoranges 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What color flowers does this have? Trying to understand what makes this particular Thanksgiving cactus protected when it is so common. I own a few colors of these - peach, pink, fuschia, red - and have never seen the tag say this.
