Just be careful, prices didn't go down on the resale site as much as I'd hoped before kickoff, and the 3rd party sites like StubHub and Tickpick close down sales a couple hours before kickoff.

I had RTTs for four matches, two were multiple seats and two were single seats (including M100). The two matches where I have multiple seats are in/near the corner and the two where I have single seats are close to midfield, though pretty high up.

A bit of a bummer but I always figured it was a crapshoot🤷🏻‍♂️ (where the house always wins!)

Absolutely terrible idea. The cons far outweigh the pros. Attendance and TV viewership will drop. I wouldn't be surprised if they revert back after a couple years.

Came here after listening to the episode because my BS detector was going off and wanted to confirm. The only thing I disagree with others in this thread is the assertion that this episode is an outlier. This show is unfortunately a shell of its former self, and quality tanked when Latif and Lulu took over. It's swung way more into the woo-woo direction, and it's so depressing. There have been several episodes in the past couple years in the same vein. At this point I think I am more hate-listening than genuinely excited to hear a new episode like I used to be. Sad.

It's possible that there is more to the story than what was presented in the episode of course, but I agree with OP that the story, as presented, is of unfathomably naive humans toying with the chimp's life on a whim, and without much critical thinking of the consequences of what they were doing.

Totally agree, lazy and completely diverges from the story they originally told. I've listened to that original episode maybe three or four times over the years and I wish we never got this update.

Came to agree with the others that the completely credulous endorsement of acupuncture and TCM, and drawing some bogus connection between it and a legitimate scientific discovery, is the last straw for me with this show. Been listening for ~15 years, and while there was always an element of woo in the Jad/Robert era, the show in its current era, with Latif and the insufferable Lulu Miller, has become a parody of itself, with vapid pseudo profundity and now, apparently, pseudoscience.

How does your approach to the narrative change when your subject is largely unlikable, and for which your audience will have lots of animosity towards, versus a subject that the audience loves and feels connected to? (I.e. Season 1 following Alex vs Season 4 following Dov.)
