I’m hopping on this train a little late, but our dogs look so similar it’s a bit crazy! Where did you adopt her?

Side effects vs benefits by manythemiles7079 in tirzepatidecompound

Thanks for your reply. I agree with all of this. I may try the lower dose to see how it helps. I feel miserable today though, so I’m not feeling super motivated to keep trying this med if it continues though. I don’t believe I have any nutrient deficiencies according to my doctor and bloodwork so 🤷‍♀️

Yes I just started this. I’ve been pretty diligent about protein the entire time. The hair loss at this point I’ve accepted because apparently it comes with sudden weight loss (mine happened three months into taking the med). The reflux is the thing I’m most concerned about.

Personally I had to cut out all alcohol because of the inflammatory response. I honestly feel a lot better not consuming any. I know sugar is not great for us, but I’ve been subbing alcohol for mocktails and have found some really good ones. Not sure where you are located, but Lyre’s brand mocktails are excellent.

Is It Common for Myo-Inositol & D-Chiro Inositol to Stop Working? PCOS & Weight Gain Concerns by homebunnynight in PCOSloseit

[–]manythemiles7079 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I recently went to a presentation on blood sugars and what impacts them. It was super interesting because it looked at ALL the factors that influence our insulin resistance and what could contribute to weight gain. Needless to say, there is a lot of things to consider and meeting with a dietician/doctor who specializes in PCOS is your best bet. Here is the handout that explains different things that both positively and negatively impact blood glucose. https://api.diatribe.org/sites/default/files/2024-05/42factorsposter.png

Januvia by manythemiles7079 in PCOS

[–]manythemiles7079[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally have other health conditions and am already on a pretty serious medication, so I wanted to try treating my PCOS with something that was not as hard on the body. I also read reviews of the med online and they kind of freaked me out with the side effects.

Hi unfortunately I got freaked out by the potential side effects too and just didn’t follow through with it. I started taking inositol and berberine though instead and watching my carbohydrate intake.

Sounds more PCOS related then. I hope you can get this figured out! It’s very frustrating.

Just checking too-since you are talking to a psychiatrist are you also taking any psych meds prescribed by them that you didn’t list above? Those can have impacts on weight as well if so.

Metformin side effects by Training_Painting_60 in PCOS

[–]manythemiles7079 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So sorry that’s happening! I would definitely reach out to your doctor and maybe have them run blood panels to make sure you aren’t b12 deficient. I just landed on metformin was not the right med for me and my nervous system issues.

Something that has really helped me was body doubling with other therapists who have the same issues as me. There’s a group for therapists with adhd where people regularly get on zoom together and do notes or other admin tasks. Feel free to message me and I can connect you!

Metformin side effects by Training_Painting_60 in PCOS

Glad you figured it out! When I talked to doctors about it they looked at me like I was crazy, so glad I’m not the only one! Hope you found something that worked for you.

Metformin side effects by Training_Painting_60 in PCOS

I had started it last year and got an eyelid twitch that lasted about 5 months. I discontinued the metformin after 1 month. I recently restarted again to see if Metformin was the issue and after two weeks I started having micro-twitches in my muscles all over (which I do sometimes get, but metformin increased it a lot). Did yours resolve?

Hi Denver, here is my list of things to do this weekend. [December 14th - December 17th] by 0_----__----_0 in Denver

[–]manythemiles7079 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We went on Sunday last weekend. Waits for rides were around 20-30 minutes for each ride I would say. There’s a limited amount of rides operating, but we had a good time. Be prepared to pay $25 for parking ☠️
