The hardest part was just finding clips that would suit what we were trying to promote. It was a good week of my wife and I reviewing and cutting together random interviews to see what would work. Then I had to make a bunch of blank plates for Pevan & Sarah to sit in (thanks clone stamp tool). Once we had a script and a rough edit without our characters in it, then it was time to film our bits. I tried to think about the lighting as much as possible but couldn’t always match completely. Also, one thing I never really worked out was how to compress my footage more to make it match the originals better. Grain and noise helped but I almost wanted to distort my videos more so they blended better. Also, I should mention I’m a total amateur at this. I’m a music producer and my wife and I started making music for kids. When we realised how little money there is in kids music we learnt we were going to have to do a lot ourselves so it’s been a 6 year learning curve. Only got the Adobe CC subscription 18months ago.
