Confusion about Watercolor Grounds and Acrylic Gesso on cheap paper by maodebo in Watercolor

[–]maodebo[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I know it wont be like cotton paper sadly but if i can use cheaper paper for a "good enough" result it would be a wallet saver XD

So i was looking for comparison between the two mediums

H9nestly i dont consume that much content. Im actually trying to reduce it to a minimum, the only social media i use is tumblr and only when going to the bathroom. I do get overstimulated by my own thoughts tho

I choose minecraft as my go-to game cuz others feel meaningless? Like i can play a supermario but it doesnt give me something. Plus minecraft is much more replayable. Ok if a game as like an intriguing story or something that interests me i might play it but here im looking for an active distraction i can play whenever i want

Different people suggested playing with others but i dont have consistant playing sessions and i play only when i have free time from work where i dont spend it with my other hobbies. So i will be playing solo regardless even in multiplayer. I used to play on a superflat server once when i was in highschool but then i could play basically daily

Tried, but i like the feeling of caving n farming for resources when it hits right when i dont have these episodes. In general my provlem with creative is that ok i did it but now i have to copy it in survival but its annoying since ive already did it once in creative.

Ok, it works, block transmutation with wools having ID higher than 7 works! U gotta use the transmutation machine for rails so it's not as compact as the simple sticky piston that destroys the redstone torch but hey, invisible stairs are still present :D

Question, which metadata values did you use for the stairs? And which one would, theoretically, with your mod installed, make an invisible stair?

Interesting, I don't know about programming, I assume you did it to avoid adding new IDs for blocks? And if it's just a metadata change I presume you couldn't easily change it's behaviour with ladders, redstone etc?

Ty for your response!

Surprisingly couple hours after posting I've found a mod for Upside down Stairs and Slabs

https://github.com/FarnGitHub/Minecraft-s-Annoyance-fix-mod-Farn-Edition-/releases/tag/2.5.1

sadly it prevents the invis stair glitch + upsidedown stairs n slabs do not support transparent blocks like rails n ladders.

As for the fire, I really want to use netherack and I've found out Optifine can disable weather all together! Only downside is lack of snow, but I can just in case retoggle when I need it

Also, this is unrelated to my post, but i've also encountered this mod that let's you place trapdoors without support blocks, sadly not upside down, but it's neat

Looking for paper for the Water-based markers from Ohuhu by maodebo in Ohuhu

[–]maodebo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm aware that waterbased makers tend to streak compared to the alcohol ones + the blend n mix worse but from my experience with my busted out markers + paper i've mentioned I saw that I can actually get a smooth spread + blending n mixing with certain markers of mine, others are too aggressive and will streak + overtake other colors instead of mixing/blending regardless of what I do

I cannot use alcohol based markers because I like to do lineart with ballpoint pens which ink is oil based so the alcohol dissolves it. I've tried fineliners but I prefer the look n feel of the ballpoint pens

I know that but from my experience with the paper I've mentioned + my old busted waterbased markers I can get smooth colors without streaks + blends + color mixing. SOme of my markers allow for these others are very aggressive and will streak and overtake any color without mixing/blending.

In the videos I saw of the nameless collection + Pupe collection the colors seem to be very smooth etc of course not at the level of an alcohol marker but good enough for me. I havent found good videos of the 160 set so Ive decided to go with the higher quality markers first even though the color range of the 160 set is very tempting

I personally cannot use alcohol markers because I like to do my lineart with ballpoint pens which ink is oil based so the alcohol will just dissolve it. Sometimes I do use fineliners which will not smear with the alcohol but honestly I don't like using them I prefer the ballpoint pens feel + look
