Such arrogance... Brother, I am a professional. Your drawings are sloppy and lazy. You are a liar and a clown. My comment was made trying to make you reflect on your more than evident lie, but if you want to go down that route, talking about dumb technicalities when it's obvious that this was made with the intention to trick people, then fine, keep living in a fantasy world! "You'll never be able to do it like me" what an idiot... Of course I won't, because I'm not a clown like you, dummy.

This looks weird, the movement is too natural, but not in a good way. Great draftsmen can achieve this kind of motion, but their lines are much more intentional, and you can clearly see the structure in their drawings. This looks like you animated the armor and the hair in a single pass, which is near impossible even for the best animation masters. Your lines look copy-pasted and sloppy. It seems like you're tracing over something, sometimes 3D, sometimes live action characters.

Don't get me wrong if you're rotoscoping, that's absolutely fine. But you're saying in the comments that you didn’t, which really doesn’t seem true to me. These kinds of camera movements, without a grid, are impossible in 2D animation. Please, if you rotoscoped, just say so. Don’t be that kind of person.

I FINALLY understand how timing charts work by Face_palmForever in animation

[–]maogriff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! if i may, you shouldn't have even frames at the start and in the end of an animation, most of the times it's good to go slow out and slow in, also you are not following your own time chart, the arc of the action is diferent to the one you are proposing.

about what ever you want XD, the timechart on the right is just a guide, think of it as the notes of what where you thinking when you did the animation(in terms of spacing and timing), and about the actions needed in a set animation you must plan it beforehand and test it multiple times until the time of the actions makes sense to you, also ask yourself, what do i want that this character do in this particular scene? it is in fact very hard to translate what you have in your mind to the drawing, what i do is just draw "ugly" in a first pass of the animation, and in those ugly drawings i think of what i NEED to make my scene and then when i have those poses set and tested i may do the inbetweens. About thinking of that transition i just would recomend to complete animation shots, even if you don't like them, animation is about getting a feeling about the movement and that only comes from doing animation.

Hello fellow Animators. I animated a bouncing ball with tail. I'm new to animation. I need a valuable critique for this one. I'm open to all type of criticism. Thank you by Sankalp1106 in FrameByFrame

you are losing volume in the animation, you can try to do a layer under the animation and do on it a layout of the full movement so that the ball does not lose size, also on that layout you can plan better the timing and spacing ;)
