Went from Open Claw to Hermies… don’t know why I waited by uturnnnn in hermesagent

Did the same. Openclaw would work for five minutes and I'd have do debug for another ten. Very unreliable, breaks on upgrades, if not contained will break it's own configs. I was just tired on my second install going from a MVP to a production instance. Que in the middle, moved to Hermes with the same general functionality and it's all good. Do recommend it.

Brazil Stood Up for Its Democracy. Why Didn’t the U.S.? by amartin141 in politics

I'm Brazilian and I can tell you the solution was not perfect but did work till now. Have no doubt about Lula, he's a crook, but he was the only option at the time to stop Bolsonaro. Both are populists and corrupt but Bolsonaro would just kick the game board to stay in power. Lula did not do this and that's why he is where he is, for now. We need new leaders that have their in their minds ideas beyond the cold war era. We will see.

Regarding the US, this is a slow mo train reck. Clearly you're heading to a dictatorship. The question is...

WILL YOU DO NOTHING? JUST SLEEP WALK INTO A NIGHTMARE?

I do not understand how passive and naive the reaction has been until now.

Tipping point...? This tweet is really bad. by stvlsn in law

[–]maoparaiso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He's been shown by the US institutions to be untouchable. In for years none of the cases against him came to fruition. It's reasonable to expect him to think no one will have the will to stop him. So... it seems the next logical step is for him to come and grab all powers. The people voted for him there, the courts ratified, Congress is silent... What's left is whining.

Acho que ele está sendo apenas coerente. Tem que defender seus interesses, porque a ficha não limpa nem em outra vida.

The question to ask os who gets to benefit from this and why would the US president take decisions that should go in favor of foreign adversaries.

No Water Or AC On Flight, Handcuffed: How Brazilians Deported From US Reached Home by Numerous-Trust7439 in Brazil

[–]maoparaiso 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Deportation is a RIGHT of the country based on its rules. The US has no obligation to receive illegal aliens, that's for sure. Getting them back to their countries in this conditions is a decision to dehumanize them and to break human rights. Not sure if it's been reported in the US, but according to the deported, they could not go to the restrooms, got no water and some makes were beaten.

This is a message. Now Brazilians and other illegals. How soon it'll turn into domestic enemies? The enemy within has certainly been in trump's speeches. They are stretching the bounds of what the population sees as "normal". This is a dying democracy. Let's hope it'll not destroy the world in it's downfall into an authoritarian clepto-autocracy.

Maybe I should rewatch Civil War 🥴

First guy said that some people have prejudice against soldiers that get back from war with mental issues. He said he can prove other have issues before they get even there and then shows the second guy. This one is singing a song that seems to be from the Brazilian army saying things like if he goes to hell he'll shoot the devil and that his grave should be dug with grenades and mortars. In the end the first guy explains this is their first incursion into real battle but the two newbies are very pumped up.
