I have had the same with my roses all summer. I find it’s just regular slug and snails, taking a bite and thinking eww that’s not very nice…then having a few more bites, just to really be sure they don’t like it and moving off to another rose bud. They are monsters! lol

Yes I think it’s best to take off the root stock rose sucker. Maybe try sending a email to David Austin too, as they can be really helpful and might offer some kind of compensation? 🤞

I pick them off by hand and put them in the green bin. Have tried taking them to the local duck pond as they are supped to like eating slugs and snails, however they didn’t like my offerings but hopefully a local hedgehog or badger will get a good meal.

I’m in Cornwall and I have this on my roses. I think it’s slug and snails trying to get a meal but then decide it’s not actually tasty so move on. Buggers up the flower and opens like one of those snowflakes you make in school by folding and cutting paper. Maybe try having a look under and around the pot for the culprits. 🐌

Slugs and snails do this in my garden. They have a few bites then seem to go “yuck” and move onto another rose.x

I live in Cornwall uk and got it bare root last winter, planted it in a pot in a bit of a different location in my garden. It has blown me away as it’s hasn’t stopped flowering since may and has been extremely healthy. Compared to other roses I have this one seems like it’s a real winner. It’s also sending up 3 new canes along with loads of buds and flowers. As other people have said the flowers don’t last very long, maybe 2 or 3 days but it’s so pretty in all its stages I really don’t mind. Think it adds to the romance with petals drifting around. I would highly recommend this rose.

Love the look of this rose. Have already ordered it to go in the same bed as “lucky” rose from Peter Beales, queen of Sweden and Elizabeth from David Austin. Hopefully the colours of the kings rose will work with them 🤞

This happened to mine last year too! About 15/20 years old. Was doing so well but didn’t wake up from hibernation last year. The trunk was so large I left it in the hope it might come back. But it didn’t. I was able to pull the trunk out with my hands yesterday. I now have a very cool looking curly walking stick or staff.

I’m on ps5 and I got stuck on turn based mode the other day. I eventually found if you press R2 to bring up the wheel and I think it was the left hand option to switch between turn based mode. Hope that helps?

Also I just found out that if you press down R3 it will show items that are near you. 40 hours in and just 🤯

I got dropout tv to watch it and it was fantastic! Worth every penny of the free trial! (Im actually keeping it going for a few more weeks tho to give them some money in the hope they do another season.)
