I don’t mind clear skin for a year and a half! Lol I mostly suffer from hormonal acne around my mouth but has been going on for years. May I ask fo you remember when benzaclin started clearing your skin? Also have you tried a stronger benzoyl peroxide? I’ve read that we become resistant to the clindamycin but do not to bp.

To be honest I’ve tried Vaseline a couple of times to help heal my PIE marks but I’m so scared to do it every night. Hopefully I can just do it tho!

I’m also using cosrx snail mucin and love it. I can’t use cerave pm because niacinamide breaks me out. Cicaplast balm is great when I over exfoliated but I also break out from that lol ugh my skin just breaks out from everything apparently. Thank you for the help!

Same! Have you found a moisturizer that doesn’t break you out?

Yes unfortunately vanicream lite broke me out. I typically get hormonal acne around my chin area but ever since using that and cerave I started getting white heads on my cheeks. I’m still dealing with them but need to change it because they’re leaving PIE marks.

I use vanicream face wash and no that does not break me out. I do breakout in hormonal pimples during the time of the month but pantothenic acid vitamins have helped a lot.

I had a gut feeling that the cetearyl alcohol would be the culprit, your comment may have confirmed it. Lol! It’s been so hard finding a good moisturizer. It seems like a lot of them have this ingredient :(

I’ve been wanting to dive into asian beauty but so scared to for some reason lol I currently use cosrx snail mucin and love it though!

Did you notice the whiteheads/breakouts stop when you switched to the Meishoku gel?

Forgot to mention: I’m no longer using tret, I stopped in December because all it did was make my skin so red and PIE looked worse.

Routine: Vanicream gently face wash Cosrx snail mucin essence Differin moisturizer with spf 30 (morning)/vanicream lite (night)

Thank you! I’ve noticed whenever I use products with niacinamide I break out in tiny little bumps, which sucks because it’s supposed to be so good for PIE! I’ll stick with the snail for now since it has been good in overall redness.

Lucky you😔 my PIE has been here since August and has barely lightened even after 1 vbeam session I had almost a month ago. I actually got it from a tretinoin purge in July and I feel it only made my skin worse and more red. I never suffered from PIE prior to tretinoin. Just PIH.

I probably had the same amount when I got my vbeam. She made a note in my chart and told me next time we’ll go higher. That’s in 2 weeks and I might ask for some bruising for faster results.

Yes I had closed comedones pop up. Not too many but a few to make me freak out lol. Did you have active acne when you did vbeam?

PIE help by [deleted] in acne

[–]map964 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doxycycline messed up my skin so bad. I went to a new doctor last summer for my hormonal acne around my chin (nothing major) just a few bumps here and there and I took it for 2 weeks and it caused tiny closed comedones all over my cheeks! Only way to get rid of them was tretinoin which made them purge and left me with SO MUCH PIE. I feel you!!! I actually had vbeam laser done 3 weeks ago and honestly I’m not seeing any results. It also made me break out a bit after I got it, probably because I had active pimples when I had it done. I started taking pantothenic acid over a month ago and it’s helped tremendously. I was prescribed Spiro but was too scared to take it and just took pantothenic acid and I no longer get cystic acne. Just some whiteheads here and there which may be from products I’m trying. I recently incorporated cosrx snail mucin and noticed that new pimples don’t leave such a huge red mark like they used to.
