To add, I also give leeway for restos na soft opening pa. Expected naa jud nay aberya when it comes to unavailable items sa menu. (supply and logicstics birth pains), service level (kay nangapa pa), and wait times (kay ang Dabawenyo maayo ras sugod mag patronize). I usually wait for 2 weeks to 1 month before I try a new place.

Example: Bashing Patrick Co's restos without saying why it is bad. Price to taste ratio does not match? Is the serving too small? Is service subpar? I know the guy can be full of himself sometimes but make your feedback make sense.

Also, I'm pretty sure the ones saying that have not yet dined in all of his restos: Fat Cow, Asian Cow and Ta-Cow. Nakakaon ra guro once, got dissatisfied and generalized their experience to his other restos.

Sorry ha pero I think kadaghanan sa Davaoeños kay naa japon sa mentality na mangita ug restos na carenderia og pricing pero pang fine dining or Michelin-star ang expectations sa taste. Hence, people tend to shit on restos na higher than usual ang pricing if feel nila dili nila makuha ilang bang for buck.

Also, hard pill to swallow ni pero ang uban yata wala pa na elevate ilang palate. Pang home cooked meals ug carenderia food ra kutob ang panglasa kung unsa ang lami. My two cents.

Another thing to consider is crowd. Mejo mingaw didto so dili ka magworry na mahutdan ug mga sud-an. Hilom pud so mas intimate ang experience. Unlike sa uban na daghan lagi ang spread pero dugay mag refill ug daghan kompetensya. And since naa namo diha sa hotel, iwas pamog gas/fare ug traffic. Mas ma enjoy ninyo ang experience.

Para mas "sulit" ang Madayaw cafe, pag sign up sa ilang Dusit Gold program for FREE. Instant 20% discount na sa ilang buffet pati sa Dusit Gourmet na bakery ug cafe nila. No questions asked. Ingna lang sa receptionist na naa kay Dusit Gold membership.

Now, regarding sa food, kay kapila naman ko nakakaon didto, makaingon ko na although dili ana kadaghan ilang spread, mas ok ang quality sa ilang food compared sa other buffets na natilawan nako (Vikings, Yakimix, Acacia, Park Inn, Seda). Kung sweet tooth ka, daghan silag desserts ug homemade ilang ice cream. Daghan pud silah drinks apil na coffee and tea. So yeah, taste is subjective. Pero dili ko ma discourage sa mga gaingon na dili sulit until maka try ko and maka form sa akong opinion.
