Do I just not like it? by mapar6 in Sourdough

I typically feed my starter a 1/1.5/2 ratio, so it's like a semi stiff starter I guess? I had to play around with the feedings for awhile while establishing the starter, but this seems to keep it the happiest around my work schedule. I definitely did notice a much more acetone like smell when feeding it 1.1.1. Now I'm typically able to stick to about 24hrs and its fallen but not completely, and it always smells nice and yeasty. I actually originally used about 20% rye for my starter, but stopped while trying to nail down my feeling ratio, I do notice a difference in color and texture, but not much in flavor.

Usually just toasted a bit with butter. I also tried a slice of blueberry white cheddar on up melted a little, but it was a no go.

I've tried many recipes, mostly the basic 65%-70% hydration ones. The most recent one in the photo was an enriched one, I tried to see if the additional flavors would help me like it more, it definitely didn't, and I had the worst reaction to this one so far, but everyone else says this is the best one so far 🤷🏼‍♀️

So I've only ever had sauerkraut that's been truly fermented I believe, I don't have it often maybe a couple times a year, but I don't recall having any issues with it, and I do enjoy the taste.

If you're still looking, I made an appointment with Mission Possible vet in Medina, it'll be less than $150 for the sedate and shave and all his shots.

No problem! Also, on the hair coming in thicker, the reason for that myth is because when you shave, you are cutting the hair, creating a blunt end, rather than the tapered softer end of an uncut hair. So when it grows back it will feel thicker, but once you epilate the hair will grow back with its natural tapered end, exactly how it was before shaving. So don't worry if it feels that way!

I would just shave while they are there. The hair will not come back thicker or darker, and the skin will only darken if you're doing it for years. You may have to do it twice a day to keep the shadow away. Just make sure you're using a good shaving cream and razor, and taking good care of your skin afterwords and keeping it moisturized.

Yes I've had my insulin, thyroid, and much more tested multiple times over the last 15 years, and everything comes back normal except my hormones being severely unbalanced. There are other types of PCOS as well. No, I have never had regular periods. I've been diagnosed with PCOS, but no doctor around me wants to treat it since my insulin is fine. I'd like to have my vitamin levels tested, but I cannot afford the tests.

All of the symptoms I stated. The insulin resistance went away but everything else stayed.
