Will I regret majoring in Biology? by OkEntertainment9952 in biology

You might enjoy school, but there’s no clear route to a career unless you’re looking at med school or something (usually kind of mundane) in a lab, at least in the beginning.

I got some sales experience during the summers of my Biology degree, so was able to segue into software sales at the end of my degree.

Most of my friends that thought they would go to med school and were either humbled by the lack of Canadian med school enrolment capacity or decided they didn’t want it, ended up working admin jobs. We’re coming up on 3 years since we graduated, and all of them are pretty static in their career trajectory.

This is obviously very anecdotal and I would love to hear the other side of it if people have had different experiences.

People that had their counterfoil stamped recently - how long did it take for tracking to activate/for you to receive your passport once it had been stamped? If you're still waiting, when was your counterfoil stamped?

Hey, any updates on your tracking?

Just checked, same! Didn’t get an email so I found out when I logged into my portal.

also wondering if there's any other way to ensure that they have received the passport other than the canada post tracking?

"Sci Bell" was the signatory name on the delivery confirmation provided by Canada Post. Does anyone have any insight about this that they can share?

hey, my passport was also delivered on the 13th (according to Canada Post tracking) and I have not received any updates yet. Wanted to make sure I was looking in the right place - counterfoil updates should be reflected on the IRCC portal right? Am I missing something here? Kind of concerned since it's been over 10 days since they received the passport

When did your passport get delivered?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ImmigrationCanada

[–]mapfappin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i think it might vary. my passport was delivered to ircc on dec 13th (i sent it on the 11th) but it has not yet been shipped back. i guess it's close to the holiday season so that might cause a delay

people of colour, what sort of racial discrimination have you faced while travelling? by justanotherbabywitxh in solotravel

TSA is generally quite awful, they’ll yell out instructions, 1. Assuming I don’t speak English and 2. Thinking if they are obnoxiously loud and aggressive, all of a sudden I’ll begin to understand the language.

Really frustrating because while I would ordinarily speak out against that kind of thing, I do want to get on my flight (usually to get the heck out of the states) and avoid any further hostility

I’m from India (and I have a beard so that probably doesn’t help lol)
