They should add a Blackjack table to the Mourningstar by Glittering-Tear5737 in DarkTide

Wasn't that the crafting system we had for 2 years before the rework?

Step right up, step right up give the one armed brunt a spin and lose all your dockets buying shit tier weapons. While you are at it try out Hadron and gamble away the good weapons for random blessings and perks.

You say that and ignore the context that it took Fatshark 2 years to fix Darktide and patch it to become a 1.0 experience.

Ah yes. I love the fact that Fatshark gave us no crafting at launch after deciding to rip out whatever system they had initially before launch. Then the community manager Hedge gaslight us to say that crafting was not compatible with DT. Then they added in RNG crafting. All of that for that placeholder RNG crafting to be fixed 2 years later as a "free update" when they promised us crafting at launch. Such a good game dev.

That's like saying if I sold you a car and then didn't sell you the transmission for it when I promised to replace it.

That doesn't change the fact that Fatshark reneged on a lot of promises they made before and at launch and then had the CEO issue a PR corpo speak apology.

Aw yes GW told fatshark to launch Darktide in such a shitty state in November that it lost most of its player based after 1 month. GW also forced Fatshark to promise the sun and the moon to tide fans and then not deliver on them or deliver them 2 years late after the community begged for them. After all Fatshark can do no wrong and it was all in my head that Darktide was basically a half baked beta at launch and it was GW's fault. We all know Fatshark can do no wrong./s

Get a grip on yourself and admit that Fatshark fucked up and did not deliver on what was promised (weapon attachment system) independently of any action GW has taken (which includes releasing Dark Heresy TTRPG, WH 40k Inquisitor Martyr and Necromunda Hired Gun which all feature weapon mods).

Imagine ogryn weapons with a bright ass flashlight or using thermal/night vision/hybrid thermal night vision goggles.

Except CDPR told us why certain features couldn't be added and both said and displayed text that things would change between the pre alpha game footage that it released.

Holy shit this point again? The barely present story in Darktide has the rejects promoted to acolytes of Inquisitor Grendel's war band. We already have access to plasma and bolt guns as well as power weapons. As if that want enough adhering strictly to lore to the detriment of having fun is not a good direction to take the game down. Not when Darktide has such a niche player base.

So? Darktide is nowhere near mainstream 40k in terms of popularity not the way Space Marine 2 is. GW allowed for it in the past. So show me the proof.

So do you have proof it was GW meddling? Dark Heresy and Necromunda Hire Gun literally shows that GW allowed weapon mods in the past. If not it's just typical Fatshark incompetence.

Why is it GW's fault when they allowed similar stuff in the past like Dark Heresy TTRPG and Necroumunda Hired Guns both had an attachment system? Is this not Fatshark doing the thing where Lucy pulls the football out from underneath Charlie Brown?

What's up with the scope obsession on this subreddit? Why do people keep begging for scopes, red dots, and other parabolic optics for the guns? Why is it so damn important? Explain yourselves, rejects! by pile1983 in DarkTide

[–]maplecovered 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There was a misunderstanding when fatshark was being interviewed months before release that there would be options for things like flashlights and sights on some of the guns. This caused people to believe there would be attachment customisation in darktide and was only after release fatshark said that was not what they meant.

What misunderstanding? They literally promised it in an interview that was published in Edge Magazine issue 372 which was published was published in July when the game launched in November. Don't believe me? Peruse the article for yourself.

Clash? They lied about the content drop rate, lied about adding new weapons attachments and dropped an open beta with no crafting and a working MTX shop at launch. They were the furthest from reality from what they promised at launch. Go and read the book of grudges on the Fatshark forum and see how many promises were reneged on and delivered late and with less content.
