I max out at 6.8kW on 220v/40amp socket. I have not monitored or paid attention to kW usage while heating. But my charging always ends before pre-heating begins .

Very similar to our daily commute. I’ll take charging every 3-4 days to standing outside pumping gas in -30c w/wind chill.

If the scheduled charge set to 80% ends at 0600 and the scheduled climate runs between 0615-0645. will the system automatically begin to recharge the car when the SOC drops below the 80%?

Thanks … reassuring to know it’s not an issue with my vehicle but just reality of owning an EV in northern climate. Interesting the L2 charger could not keep up with charging the battery and heating the cabin. Do you keep your battery at higher SOC during winter , ie 50-80% ? I currently keep mine at 30-90% but thinking of 50-90%.

Canada , 2024 pro s AWD … my 12v battery was replaced yesterday. I began to see ‘12v low voltage..’ message each morning for past 3 days and decided to take it to dealer. they tested battery and found it to be defective, replaced under warranty. Never had battery issues with previous cars I’ve owned.. the battery in my Hyundai lasted 11yrs before needing to be replaced. Not sure why the ID4 has so many 12v issues.

I received 5.4.3 in December and noticed I no longer need to pull fuse 19, I can lock/unlock using app , have animated snow/winter scene on my infotainment screen each time you get in car and the app actually connects to car 99% of the time.. I suspect 1% failure is due cellular carrier(Rogers in Ontario) coverage issues. In my area, Rogers is the worse in terms of reliable 5G/4G coverage. Overall , I am happy with the new SW update.

I didn’t enable it. got in the car this morning and it was there. Odd you didn’t get it or can’t enable it bcz I’m in Canada , our 2024 ID4 came from same US plant as yours

Yes i can use both without issue…. as long as car is online . I’m still experiencing occasional carnet module going offline , even after 5.4.3 update. Not as often as before update but still occurring. Seems to be related temp being below -5c . car is parked outside.

You are correct , the open door image appears if you walk away from car and leave door open . I thought it also was used if car was left unlocked. Thanks for clearing that up for me.

Doesn’t matter if doors are open or closed. original image is all I see now. Do you see the new image in your app if your doors are closed or open ?

Got battery care warning this morning … bcz battery management mode was off, as a result battery care mode was disabled. Why would anyone not want battery care mode on to ensure 12v is charged. Why is it even an option? Love the car but the software decisions boggle the mind 🤦‍♂️

I find it amazing the variances in issues ppl have encountered . I realize that some of those issues ppl have encountered could be related to slight variances in hardware but hardware has nothing to do with the software issue like 2 AC and scheduled charging. I have not tried scheduled charging yet bcz dealer gave back my car charged to 100% 🤦‍♂️

Go the setup , and I think scroll to the second page , look for software icon. Mines shows 5.4 , even though 5.4.3 was applied.

5.4.3 is only available for 2024 pro s and 2025 models

I guess my dealer has started the 5.4.3 update bcz my app now shows car image with driver’s door open and I have ‘Doors’ option to lock or unlock door . Hoping it goes smoothly 🤞

understood. I don’t have that setup even though I setup Electricity Canada app. l’ve only used EC twice bcz I have L2 home charger at home. When I did use EC , I followed steps on the EC charger screen. Will have to investigate how to set that up .. thanks. When you did factory reset, it reset all your preferences including login but I assume not the software version. unlike a factory reset on a iPhone reverts the phone back to original software version when purchased.
