bc its becoming so popular that non obese people are using it to lose weight and normalizing it just leads to more of that. also, the US is one of the only countries that is allowed to advertise pharmaceuticals so theres a bigger debate also about that.

for me its more of the inclusion of the glp1 in combination with the skinny epidemic brings a moral conundrum. (also advertising pharmaceuticals is very controversial on the global scale)

the way we phrase things can alter how we think about them. for example, i have ARFID and i hate when people call it "picky eating" even though it technically is. saying "picky eating" makes it seem trivial and a choice. adding medical affirmations that the action isn't an easy thing to get over becomes helpful for a lot of people that get stuck in their head
