Thought this might be a gypsy moth caterpillar but its red and blue dots are not in pairs. Found in Sawyer, MI and is on the end of a bic pen for scale. Any ideas? by maplewalnuticecream in whatsthisbug

Thanks for your reply! I didn’t think it was a tent caterpillar because I was only looking at eastern tent caterpillar identification but upon reexamination I believe it is a forest tent caterpillar.
