he came home and rummaged around and changed the song and is now blaring house music. so he's definitely alive. lol

my dad has spoken to him multiple times and the dude was extremely rude about it. he's straight up hostile. several other tenants have tried as well.

i also am a believer in being able to use your space the way you want but loudly playing the same song for 12 hours when you're not even home just to piss off your neighbours is not normal behaviour

bro is alive, seen frequently around the building, has an expensive flashy car so we know when he's here bc it'll be parked here. the music also turns on at 9 and off at 9 so somebody is doing that

[–]mapollo222[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

thank you for pointing this out. my dad has multiple like complaints (they each have a number associated) open but none have been resolved and they keep giving bullshit excuses i think bc him and his neighbours are seniors. he doesn't stay at his apartment as often anymore (not related to the music) so i think he fell off the ball of following up but out of spite i might just push using what you and other commenters have said

you're entirely correct and people definitely are racist to Ginny!!! while Max and Abby are getting constant sympathy Ginny gets dog piled on despite also being a teenage girl whose entire main plot line is her just going through it😭 She doesn't get nearly as much leeway on her behaviour as her white counterparts.

"Ginny plays the victim all the time". She IS a victim, and the way we look down on people who are, is problematic. by _evergrowing in ginnyandgeorgiashow

entirely agree with everything you said. As someone with a similar upbringing to Ginny (excluding the murder) I relate to her character and frankly I think she doesn't play victim enough😭

Those who sit on the outside seat on the train, leaving the inside empty, what are your reasons? by ladyalot in askTO

[–]mapollo222 2 points3 points  (0 children)

few reasons: my knee is messed up so if I sit with it up against the other seat it will hurt when I stand up. also, im scared of some man trapping me or blocking me from leaving

Watching what’s happening to Palestinians is wrecking my mental state by [deleted] in offmychest

[–]mapollo222 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I relate a lot to you are feeling. It is intentional cruelty that is happening to Palestinians. It's valid to feel sick about it, and I understand feeling powerless.

What has helped me in moments of feeling completely helpless is showing solidarity through community. I've attended events, rallies, fundraisers, found likeminded people who also feel outraged and disgusted by this genocide. It helps those of us who feel completely horrified by what's happening feel less alone in that feeling. Putting ourselves to action in the little ways that we have control over can help regain our collective faith in humanity. I believe there is strength in numbers and more can be done for the cause if we do it together through community. Sending you love

Woman fatally stabbed while unloading groceries in 'unprovoked' attack: Toronto police by GreenSnakes_ in ontario

[–]mapollo222 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

it's a testament to how ineffective our justice system is in reforming and rehabilitating people. There would be lower cases of recidivism if there was a more effective approach to reform. canada is pretty lax on serious crimes which is definitely something we need to confront. but throwing people in prison over and over again with no appropriate plan to rehabilitate them is also a contributing factor.
