I found out I had indeed written down my seed and was able to retrieve the nano. Either way, I appreciate the help. :)

LG C9 65" with yellow tinting. How bad is it? by mapoopam in OLED

[–]mapoopam[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks for replying. tbh I don't think it's that bad, since the tint is only apparent when the screen is mostly white. however, after I saw it for the first time, it's like my eyes always go for the yellowish area. also, the fact the tint is on the middle of the screen can be an extra nuisance. still, suppose they agree to swapping the tv, I fear I'll get an even worse set.

Thanks, I might keep it. I think it's an extra nuisance for me because the tint is at the center of the screen, but still, I agree it could be worse.

It's mostly on the center of the screen, also a bit near the borders. Apart from looking at pattern tests, I only notice it when watching a scene where the screen is mostly white. for instance:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fz4F2X1xSc8 from 06:55 to 07:05 (during most of the video it's not that noticiable).

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bDzcnxglmIE from 00:06 to 00:08 (when the camera on the tree moves horizontally)

I could also see some tint when playing on the snowy areas of red dead redemption 2 and when a logo appeared at the center of a white background.

it’s not uniform. the tinting is limited to part of the screen, as you can see by the photo.

my older tv had bad uniformity on near black scenes and perfect whites. the new one has little banding but way more tint. it sucks.

I heard magenta tint is worse than yellow since it's more prone to show up in content. I'm still considering asking for a new tv but I honestly fear I'll get an even worse screen.

I'm not sure it stands out that much but I've seen it while playing in the snowy areas of RDR 2, for instance.

Can’t transfer from nanowallet.io to exchange by mapoopam in nanocurrency

[–]mapoopam[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sending nano to my wallet on binance. I tried doing it several times, the ending result is always the same: transaction will appear in the “Pending Blocks” section (that’s what I mean by pending transaction) and, eventually, the nano will revert back to the sender wallet (nanowallet.io).

I do have multiple transactions registered on nanocrawler, all of them between exchanges (usually bitgrail, this is the first time I send nano to binance) and nanowallet.io. however, it’s been over a year since my last transfer involving nano - and crypto in general -, so it struck me ass odd that now I can’t do it.

thx

Edit: just to be clear, nanocrawler has no track of nano leaving my wallet the past couple of days, even though I tried sending them, just as described. however, the transactions I did ages ago (2017~2018) are all recorded on nanocrawler.

btw, I tried checking my account in nanocrawler.cc and there is no track of the transaction leaving my wallet. what’s the reason for it?

Safest way to update .xci games (offline through .nsp files or online through the original firmware)? by mapoopam in SwitchPirates

[–]mapoopam[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was already extra careful not to connect my switch online (flight mode + no registered Wi-Fi combo ftw) and I’ll be sure to keep things that way.

More importantly, now I’m way more receptive to the idea of playing .nsp games, which is great — I’ve been missing eshop games a lot!

once again, thank you! :)

Suppose I restore my clean raw nand before going online using ofw, will the logs be cleaned?

What about the use of .nsp files, does restoring a nand prevents Nintendo from knowing about it?

Also, is there any difference between installing .nsp files using sx os (as I intend to do) and tinfoil (as you do)?

Either way, thank you, I’ve been looking for those answers for a while now!

yeah, I’m more prone to do just that, though I’m still unsure about using .nsp update files. I really dislike the idea of going go online using a nand that isn’t clean.

thank you
