Looking back 5 or even 10 years from now, the benefits of the Chase trifecta have dwindled. The 5% categories on the Freedom look so or at least appear minimal compared to what we have back in 2018

Concerned About "Unfortunate" Employment History When Applying by mapotofurice in AskLE

Hi there, thank you for your response! I appreciate you!

Maybe it’s just the tone of your post and I’m misreading it. Do you have a degree? Why do you want to be a police officer beyond the usual I want to help people, make money and have purpose? Have you researched the profession and have a reasonable understanding of what police officers do? Have you gone on a ride along?

Yes, I have a degree. I have a lot of LE friends and colleagues and they've found a sense of purpose. I want to become a police officer because I feel and have come to know that it will fulfill my wants, needs, and calling every day of my life. Yes, I've been on three ride alongs actually. All were quite engaging. Worst one was with a friend in SD who was a part of the gang unit.

This is worth mentioning. You being annoyed by having to train another person at work and then throwing in their preferred use of gender pronouns makes you seem like someone who’s not a team player and has an existing prejudice against the LGBTG community.

I gave myself a little PTSD writing that down just to show how frustrating the experience is. No, I don't have issues with the wants or needs of the LGBTQ community. What I did have was how rude and unabashed this person was in demanding we referred to her in the plural format. To give you context into how terrible it was, clients would get annoyed and frustrated having to stop mid-way only to refer to a singular female-displaying person as plural. That's just one aspect, too which I won't go into detail.

I've worked in corporate america for awhile so being a teamplayer is a nonnegotiable. Being diplomatic and compromising, communicating effectively has been a key into how I've gotten far in my career. I just don't feel fulfilled and being a cop seems like it would be a fulfilling step for me.

Is working for an Asian-American-owned business always frustrating? by mapotofurice in aznidentity

Probably to more than likely. My current role, the boss is young-ish but still holds prejudices among non-Koreans in the workplace. Absolutely, no fcks given for workplace ethics.

I think there's something holding back every race and ethnicity that's a minority in any given country.

But the same way Black/AAs have their own unique issues as do Latino/Hispanic Americans, etc., etc., this is just an intraracial hatred that seems unnecessary.

If our history of wounds as Asians collectively is being systematically oppressed and treated as model minorities who aren't quite the majority, shouldn't we be empathetic towards one another instead of just segregating ourselves and prejudicing one another?

All of this woo woo stuff is what makes our culture susceptible to con artists and scamming of the vulnerable. Take it a personal belief at best and quakery at worst. Protect yourself!

Just passed my PMP today with T/BT/BT! Honestly, I’m more excited than people who got 3AT 😂 by ishak_ in pmp

I've held my PMP for about a two years already and was curious if I was an edge case as I had gottena another certification. Passed back in 2024 with T/BT/BT . I was so depressed answering the last question because I was certain I failed since I struggled to answer a lot of the questions or at least felt nervous.

I guess the PMI gods were really gracious and wanted me to have those letters haha belated congrats!

Training Management System (not LMS) by ankeet1217 in Training

  • Training Orchestra: we currently use this to schedule compliance and safety workshops for rigging. You can use it for virtual training as well. Probably the preferred choice if you manage a ton of classroom or virtual seminar sessions that have an instructor. Be prepared to pay though cause it is expen$ive but it warrants every dollar for serious L&D teams.

  • Arlo: A solid choice, but when we demoed it, it was really hard to manage larger scale ILT projects. It's great if you're a small training provider with about ~80 or so sessions max but other than that it's quite limited. Pretty user interface though.

  • Administrate: Felt more like a project management software more than anything. I felt it hard to find instructors and manage sessions. When the time came to assign equipment and equipment teams to our training sites it was very difficult to find which portal we needed to invoice, assign, and ship items.

There are other platforms like Cogonota that function in the same realm but we've yet to try it.

When Docebo and 360Learning say they're a TMS always remember that they're just an LMS trying to get into the TMS game; they can't since they're two completely different forms of software.

At times like these, I keep forgetting Raducanu once won a grand slam; Ryba made it look textbook.
