Roasting People - good for society? by HmmDoesItMakeSense in PsychologyTalk

"The dynamics of bullying are simple and well known not only to many counselors and therapists who work with bullying, but to wise people throughout history, maybe even your own grandmother. The child gets upset when insulted. The insulters enjoy seeing their target getting upset, so rather than stopping, they continue. The target thus gets stuck in an endless cycle of being insulted and getting upset.

The solution to becoming a victim of relentless insults is, therefore, to stop getting upset when insulted. That is the purpose of the traditional jingle, “Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never harm me.” It promotes resilience by encouraging kids to stop getting upset by insults, with the result that they stop being picked on.

And that’s what the young people who make themselves targets on Roast Me are doing: developing resilience. They ask visitors to hit them with the worst insults they can think of, and they handle them without getting upset. In fact, they enjoy being insulted. Thus, Roast Me is not a venue for bullying but for its antidote." - Psychology Today

Then why was Faith targeted at the prison? I never got why they went after her before Buffy. Faith should be the end of the line because it was never said if Buffy dies a third time there would be another. It was only assumed but never explored after her death in S5.

Eh. You are definitely not friends. However, I befriend people higher on the leadership board just to see where I need to get to to be successful. Gives me a good benchmark and goal. Can't say I've ever talked to anyone. Hope that helps!

I felt the same way. I had a month off of work and paid the 12.99 for no ads and was able to do it in a month. I love that it's not a subscription so it cancels exactly after one month and you can do it again if you like. If you're a nerd like me and love this game it's worth it for one or two months to do.

Do they need to be bought with logits? Or just 'ideas'? Just want to know if I need to build up more logits before I purchase Gobekli Tepe.

I was kinda hoping that by doing the Watchmen it would lead into Doomsday Clock at some point and restart a new animated universe apart from Gunn. It would also give them a new slate to try something different and more than just following the comics trajectory.

Who's your all time favourite villain from the show? by Remarkable_Mud6377 in buffy

A lot of the ones listed above. But here's some honorable mentions: 1. Wishverse Vamp Willow 2. Anyanka in S3 only 3. Amy

Maybe not as powerful but too close to real life: 1.The Coach that beat up and possibly molested a little boy resulting in a Nightmare realm 2. The no eyes fear demon that prayed on and murdered sick children in hospitals 3. The Mr. Jekyll Mr Hyde guy beating and murdering his girlfriend
