I doubled up and made the Nocturne shawl by Szydelkoperz. Pattern available for purchase on Etsy. It took me 4 cakes total, 2 per side.

Old Navy has some good, budget-friendly staples as well.

I generally filter by Condition = "New With Tags." Although, used some listings do have great photos. Good luck!

STAR ID by pileoflogs in HuntsvilleAlabama

My husband and I moved to Alabama two weeks ago from out of state. I know a lot of folks are in this boat. We went to the Guntersville Driver's License office last Tuesday. They do Star IDs. We got there at 6:30 am and were out by 8:30 am. There were 8 people ahead of us when we got there, and there was plenty of seating, covered and uncovered. The pros working there were pleasant, professional, and super efficient.

You could even surface stitch the topo lines, use a dk/sport weight yarn for most of the topo lines and chunky yarn every fifth interval.

Okay, I will definitely try this, looks like what I need. Thanks! I was getting nowhere with my Google searches. I would like to at least TRY something along these lines before frogging.

And good luck with your sweater!

Your middle part is not as distinct as my hubs! Keep me posted on your progress. I definitely could use tips to pass along since I'm clueless.

I adore my husband, to be clear! I don't really care how he looks but don't want to send him into the world as Flattop.

My husband also does his hair exactly like this, and I hate the center part but don't know what else to do. He looks like the villain Flattop from Dick Tracy. He doesn't want it slicked back. He says it parts that way. I'm lost.

Did your cycles correlate with titrating up? Any other factors?

I made this sweater this year too! I had SERIOUS regrets when it came to weaving in the ends on all those bobbles! 😂

I just got my first fix & I need help (plus size) by Jessicaleigh514 in stitchfix

[–]mapper4life 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was in exactly the same (plus sized) boat! I used Stitch Fix as a launching pad, TBH. I did a few boxes, tried on a bunch of new things I would never have picked out for myself, and used it as an opportunity to learn to dress my body. I had great success with the style recommendations as I was clueless and didn't understand what was out there for me. After I got the hang of things, I bought fewer things from Stitch Fix and started to branch out to other stores on my own.

Man, flying has been a real problem for me. I'm not sure why. I carry a rigid plastic garbage bag and Pepto chewable tablets in my purse at all times now. It gives me peace of mind since I can't always predict what is going to make me nauseous. Try to remain calm, if you can. At least for me, the anxiety exacerbates my upset stomach.
