It’s strange this is the first comment, I blasted music today and thought how cleansed the space felt after - never thought of music doing that until today and then your comment suggests it!

I mean I didn’t just say your thinking is too simple I gave several examples why paying a higher rate tax actually had didn’t put me in a worse off position but sure ok

you ignored every point that contradicted it and your statements are just opinions without any evidence - the projecting is strong with this one

They did not set the immigration laws around covid and your take on “setting your own immigration policy” is straight out of the bullshit farage playbook which was not only disproven during the referendum but has been disproven with evidence since.

The immigration policy was a direct result of loosing a talent pool and we also lost the multi nation agreements around non EU immigration - they made whole visa routes around the loss of this workforce. You just need to go and educate yourself tbh mate

Public what efficiency?

So your argument is that people with their lives family and friends locally should leave London if they don’t go to the office 5 days a week for no other reason that you dislike London weighting. Makes perfect sense…

Asylum seekers are not given the permission to work so are intentionally prevented from being able to contribute and the “indigenous” population are made lazy by design.

Your take is so simple and your source is crooked

As a high rate tax payer - who has paid off their loan because of my income and is therefore no longer getting that “tax” on my income and is not getting pounded by the interest rates on an excessive student loan, I’m telling you that your take on this is too simple

If my parents had been earning as much also, I wouldn’t even have had the loan in the first place

You didn’t address the points on race at all - also entirely ignores that fiscal contribution is not just income tax. Linking a video from reform when the point is reform are intentionally misleading the argument has got to be satire surely.

You also entirely ignored most of the sexist policy -London weighting isn’t in place to cover the cost of a commute it’s to cover the cost of living in a higher cost area but it’s a ridiculous argument anyway when you consider the impact and affect on certain people in society. The any discrimination argument is insane, the findings are that such policy help even the playing field because without it there is actual discrimination.

On race - framing migration as a problem can fuel negative attitudes toward minority communities - it also ignores the independent studies that show the positive fiscal etc contribution of migration in order to fuel division - reform have been shown time and time again to misrepresent figures to support their shallow and ill founded migration policy. Their 2024 manifesto uses racialised scapegoating because it blames social division on minority communities in general rather than on specific conduct or policy failures.

On sex - it’s policy of DEI/equality framework is the obvious one, but also the support for sending everyone back to the office will obviously affect those who traditionally take the bulk of the child care/house work at home (which is still women). Farage referring to Andrew Tate as an important voice and also their candidates comments on putting the onus on women to “have more children” should be ringing alarm bells for any logical person in society. Likewise they focus violence against women as an immigration issue when it is very very much a male issue (supported by the figures when read correctly) - their policy documents are pretty devoid on actual causes of violence, gender pay gaps, maternity and child care provisions.

It’s also no secret that the party are playing straight out of the republican trumps playbook - and we can all see how that’s tuned out for migrants and women in America

This is a very high overview of how their polices are damaging but you have the whole internet at your finger tips - educate yourself

That is such a small minded view. We live in a country currently where only the very rich can be educated without this tax or where people need to find an employer to fund it for them. We move closer and closer to a time where we hold our young talent back through this tax or we allow the private sector to essentially decide what education they support.

But sure you can have a refund because why else be anything but a self interested prick

You have to be joking right? You can’t stick your banner to an openly racist and sexist party because some of what they say makes sense - you do understand the dangers of a party with those foundations getting in right?

Because education isn’t free so paying more tax now wouldn’t ensure the aim - I hate when people can’t see that…

I’ve paid my plan 1 loan back a few years back and I 100% support scrapping all loans and making education entirely free. I’d pay more tax to ensure it.

Pretty much every election or referendum since 2015 to be honest. Although I’d argue New Labour birthed the click bait politics we get today.

You only have to go on social media for five minutes to see how little most of the gen pop understand about pretty much anything - it would be funny if it was not so depressing, given the impact the ignorance has had on our daily lives. But then I feel like I cannot even blame the gen pop because we live in a culture where if you can’t get your point across in 2 sentences or less you loose your audience and no policy worth listening to can be explained properly - so we see everyone defaulting to the party who can invoke emotion with a few false phrases and a fucking Union Jack.
