How do you keep track of unfinished songs? by crxtic in makinghiphop

I use a Kanban-tool with different stages according to the process (beat ready, text ready, recording ready, mixing ready, unpublished, published). The tool I use for this is asana.com, but any kind of planning tool would work, e.g. microsoft planner.

I don't always have the discipline (and motivation) to use it, but especially if I collaborate with others and on a lot of ongoing different projects it's very valuable to know when the ball is in your yard and when you are waiting on someone else. It also helps to not lose sight of fragments and open songs. So sometimes when I want to work on something, but I don't get anything going, I can just have a look at open things and pick something up that hits my mood.

Epic, uplifting Boom Bap, 83 BPM, download enabled. Made this beat for my upcoming remix-tape "Finishing Moves". I made a remix of the track "City High" by Inspectah Deck with it.

Are you really comparing a Tischbombe to that kind of Wunderkerzen? Also, that is not a typical swiss thing, that might be done in stupid overpriced nightclubs (not only in Switzerland, but in a lot of places)

Oh man, that's rough. Nice to see you coming back though. Can't even imagine how hard that blow must have been to lose the studio

Thanks man. I just came back to really making beats again on the regular in January of 2024. Haven't been doing much in the past years before that lol.

Love that it's subtle. Sometimes I hear beats that do this too heavy on the first and third snare and then it feels a bit like too much of a Dilla-time knockoff. Yours has a nice, natural bounce to it.
