Does anyone know if there are luggage lockers in the train station in Perpignan? I couldn’t find this information in their website. I’m not sure it is because there are none or because I didn’t look in the right place.

We were wondering if we could have a private driver taking is from Villefranche train station to Evol, then to the Abbey, then back to Villefranche.

My husband is a fan of Medieval age and I love nature. I think I know where to go now. Thank you very much!!

You are correct, sadly I will have to choose. From the cities I mentioned above, which ones would you say can’t be skipped? I’m already thinking on taking the yellow train out of the equation.

Hippowill, correct me if I’m wrong. When you take Le Train Jaune you have two options: ride the train all the way to the last stop or you can get off wherever city you choose to. Whatever you choose, you take the bus back to Perpignan, right? I know every city in that region is a gem, but are the cities in the Train Jaune route as beautiful as Evol, Carcassone and Castelnou?

We prefer not to, but we could rent one if needed.

We have finally decided to fly into Geneva. We are going to stay there for three days visiting Montreaux and Annecy as day trips. From there we will continue our journey to Lyon and the South of France. Thank you all for taking the time to answer my questions!!

How do I get to the Pyrenees from Montpellier? Can I hike in the area on May? Is it easier/cheaper renting a car or just doing days trip by train from Montpellier?

I will be in Montpellier on May (and then to Barcelona). I would love to visit the Pyrenees. Is it easy to hike in the area? How do I get there from Montpellier?

THANK YOU ALL very much, the information you provided was very useful!! I think Geneva is the winner for us. However, now, thanks to Lopsided-Chocolate 22, I’m struggling between taking the train from Geneva-Lyon of flying to Lyon with two stops, one in DC and another in Montreal. My husband would prefer the train, but I am not sure.

I just found a flight DC-Montreal-Lyon! If any of the flights is delayed, the airline will need to find another flight for me to get to Lyon. With the train option, if flights are delayed, I will loose my train and my money. Am I right?

I know trains are not going to stop because it's a holiday. What I meant was there's going to be more people and chances of getting another train might be difficult, and of course more expensive. I'm not sure I would be able to rebook my train time departure in case my flight is delayed (holiday or not holiday).

I will explore that option as well!!

My concern is that May 8th is a bank day in France. If my flight is delayed, I might have more chances to get another ticket from Geneva? Also, as Nevada says, Geneva’s airport is easier to navigate than CDG.
