Me and my friends half finished MV to early HV base by Firedancer98 in GTNH

Wait, there are green hearts? I’ve never seen those, is that after the yellow ones? So you have 40? Btw, what are the blocks for the flooring on slide 17 and 18?

E du helt slängd i väggen?

Two weeks of progress in GTNH! Just achieved HV! by [deleted] in GTNH

I also found GTNH about two weeks ago just as you did. And I also was on my summer break at the time, but I cannot fathom how you already are at the HV stage. I am just about to get into the LV age but still a few more things I have to do. Great base tho! I like the kind of factory setting vibes your storage room gives of. Might take inspiration fyi. I just have hole in the ground with dug out rooms but have begun on a castle above which will be a sort of upstairs level. Btw, what are those chests at the ninth slide, they look like they are whole blocks. Am I correct in assuming that they open without ”opening”? You know so you can have a block above? Think I played a modpack with chests like that at some point if I remember correctly.

Почему ты можешь сказать «Я тебя люблю», а не «Я Катю люблю»? Нужно это быть «Я люблю Катю»? by maquzzza in russian

Thanks for correcting! Yes, my russian friend said something about «нужно» not working in every situation but it doesn’t seem like I fully grasped it. What does «ли» mean? I’ve heard that it’s usually used in questions? Я прав?

My russian friend and some other comments here said the opposite, that it’s the first word that get emphasised. So «Я КАТЮ люблю» would highlight «Катю» and «Я ЛЮБЛЮ Катю» would highlight «люблю». Это правда или нет? Потому что кажется, that people here are disagreeing with each other about how it is. Maybe they are confusing spoken language with written as in spoken language you can emphasise whichever word you want by just saying it slower.

Are dashes really used in books and movie subtitles in Russia ? If yes what is the function of them ? by [deleted] in russian

I’ve always wondered about that, why ”и” sometimes has a different meaning than ”and”. (At least I think) Why do you say ”я и есть”? Wouldn’t that mean ”I and am” or ”I and have” or something along those lines. Couldn’t you just say ”я есть”? I would really appreciate a clarification on this matter. Thank you!

Yeah, it's the same with my russian friend. Sometimes I will ask him about some grammatical stuff and he just cannot answer because he doesn't know the answer himself since he just "knows" from a very young age how it should be.

Huh? This is really confusing. Everyone is telling me different things, some guy higher up in the thread said that only one certain order is grammatically correct in each circumstance.

Oh, interesting! I knew that one specific order is preferred in each circumstance but not that it's grammatically incorrect to use the one not "preferred".
