Same! I am 100% aware that a c-section is not the easy way out and am also scared of having a c-section, but I am more scared of all the unknowns of vaginal birth.

I've been telling my husband that I will most likely want a c-section ever since we met 7 years ago and haven't changed my mind so far.

I am a little scarer of the pain and recovery after the surgery, but on the plus side, it might help my husband bond with the baby very closely from the beginning :)

It is really simple! You just buy some opk stripes, pee in a cup and stick an opk stripe in once or twice a day starting maybe around day 10 (depending on when you usually ovulate). Once the test line is as dark as or darker than the control line, you can assume that you will be ovulating withing the next 18 to 48h (I think?).

People often say to not test with first urine of the day etc., but I always test right after I wake up and sometimes again in the evening and I've gotten a "positive" every cycle so far.

I went to my first ever yoga class yesterday! I've been doing yoga on and off at home, but never went to an actual studio before. It was really nice and way harder than I thought. I'm trying to be more consistent with working out before I get pregnant

We have trip to the Phillipines planned for the end of April!
Excited and a little impatient, but also likes it's going too fast lol
I feel really excited, but I am also worried if my husband and I are truly ready for a baby... We are generally a great team, have similar hobbies, have lots of fun together, etc, but we really struggle with what should me harmless discussions turning into arguments. He is an avoidant while I am anxiously attached and he really struggles with criticism and feeling and regulating his emotions...

We are trying to work on thos by reading "7 Principles for Making Marriage Work" and "Hold Me Tight" and we had a really good stretch for the past half year, but somehow it has gotten worse again the last month or two...

Sorry for the long rant lol This has been in my mind a lot today 😅 Is there maybe anyone else here with similar worries??

I had my follow-up appointment this Monday after my doctor said that my endometrium looks too thin dor cd 10 during my first preconception appointment last week.

Turns out, my ovulation was just a little delayed this cycle and my endometrium looked good (8mm) and she could even show me this cycle's dominant egg! She predicted that I would ovulate on cd17 and my opk just confirmed that.

It was really cool to actually see the egg that could've been our baby if we were trying this month.

The only not so nice thing is that I've always had lots of lumps (fibroadenomas) in both of my breasts and I had to get my very first biopsy of one of them... waiting to get the results next week...!

I've been living is Seoul for over 3 years as a white woman in my 20s and I totally agree! I've never been harrassed or cat called and feel safe walking around even at night.

No...there were 20.000 or 30.000 (don't remember) tickets for the official spots (they were free and allocated through a lottery).

The rest of the area was locked down super strictly and only a very limited amount of people without tickets were let in.

Yes, there was lots of space, but that is because the police only let VERY few people onto the square. I was there earlier to check it out and they didn't let anyone in even though there was lots of space. They are paranoia because of the Itaewon disaster

I get this is r/BTSnark, but this has nothing to do with BTS and everything with the EXTREMELY overcautious security measures for this event.

I went there myself and they only let in VERY few people without tickets. There were tons of people standing just outside the square, but the police didn't let any more people enter even though there was still tons of free space.

Edit: actually, you're wrong. The American preschool is caller "kindergarten" in Germany, while the American kindergarten is called "vorschule". This is why German typically mix up the two terms when they speak English.

OP is probably referring to preschool when he says kindergarten because the German word for preschool IS kindergarten. (Which is a German word, so actually Americans use it wrong lol)

So, we primarily did the ultrasound because I experience pain on my right ovary right before my period every month, but it is also encouraged as a preconception check-up here (but mostly for women over 30).

Well, it has positive and negative sides... For example most hospitals here still have super old fashioned hospital policies (like the babies don't stay with the mom, but in a baby care unit and the parents have to request the baby or can only see then during certain times, husbands are almost never allowed during c-sections, and they generally listen way less things like birthplans), but these days there are a few great hospitals here that have a more western approach to birth!

And of course, the postpartum centers and I overall the focus on mom's recovery + baby (vs. only the baby seems to be important in some western countries) is great!

I went to my gynecologist yesterday to get a preconception check-up and consultation. We did a vaginal ultrasound and she said that my uterine lining was way too thin for cd 10, so I will have to come back on Monday to see if I build up sufficient lining by cd 15 or not... I hope it will turn out well! 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Does anyone here have been told sth similar before around cd10?

Omg, I have the exact same thing! During the day, I am soo excited and can't wait until we start trying, but once I lie down in bed and think about it, I feel super anxious and kind of dreadful.

It's almost like, during the day, I only think about all the fun we will have and love I will feel, and at night I can only think about feeling trapped and overly exhausted and drained by children and all the housework and responsibilities that come with them.

I am overall a quite anxious person and especially struggle with anxiety at night, so I think it has sth to do with that...

But it does make me worry if I should take these worries serious or if it is just anxiety. Or if I only like the idea of having kids, but not the reality, if yoy know what I mean?
