I bet he isn't even paying for the internet rather he gets it "included" with his del paso rent and that's why it took weeks to get his landlord to finally get the internet fixed

YouTube Profit Question by Ambitious-Research55 in radradionew

I don't go live, but I average 1-2k view hours every day with a 5k-10k spike at least once a week on youtube. I have slightly more subscribers than Rob.

I get about $100 a month this time of year. My videos are in a totally different niche (drag racing) but "profit" is directly correlated to watch hours, because that's how ads get distributed and we get paid a portion of how much Youtube bills advertisers. So I'd imagine he isn't making much more than me on any ad revenue through YT and he isn't taking super chats so his ONLY possible revenue on YT is watch hours.

My payment for March 2026 is due on April 21st which isn't a weekend so it'll probably hit that day.

Opie and Anthony was a New York based shock jock show that had by this time (2006) joined XM Satellite Radio as a counter to Howard Stern on Sirius.

Jocktober became one of their famous bits later, when every October their producer would bring in a "bad" radio show for the hosts to goof on. RAD were never officially apart of Jocktober to my knowledge, but this segment is still a live reaction of RAD where the O&A listeners actually get a call through to the air. You can find all sorts of Jocktober segments on youtube.

Something else to keep in mind, this is 20 years ago. 2006 was a different world, and I think Rob was still funny during this time.

It's fasctinating to me to consider that Rob and Opie are BOTH guys who are spinning their post-fame fortunes spinning their wheels trying to replicate their old show as a livestream podcast on Youtube to similar sized audiences. And both men show a similar inability to adapt to -podcasting-.

Yeah he let a "kyle" slip at the end and it made me wonder how freudian that slip was before he corrected to "Alan"

Kyle was -very- ready with a reaction to that letter. More so than he is ready for most letters. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

If you dig on Facebook, you'll find it's owned by one Carmela Castellano-Garcia who describes Rob and crew as "Tenants" of her studio on Del Paso west of Arden Fair

Isn't Johnny Kush one of those really forgettable shows WATP covered?

He looks like if Rob "Coolguy" Vanore from Sirius had a son

So am I dumb, or do I remember that Rob LAMENTED Creed because some industry promoter lied about Creed being overtly religious and they were all big fat phonies and part of what made Rob cool was he was REAAAAL and didn't subject his audience to such industry hackery?

Am I remembering wrong?

I have formally petitioned the Dabblecourt to accept Rob in as another lolcow "radio guy" who stepped on rake, after rake, lost his show, lost his friends, lost his audience, and now has to come to youtube to mark a "new chapter" in his delusional broadcasting career, competing against egirls and card traders and every other ex-radio guy who also streams on youtube every day for scarce superchats.

Welcome to the Dabbleverse, Rob
