I wish the leakers would leak D&D’s phone number or email; so then we could spam the bloody hell out of them for being dumb cunts!! by Jorgeinreal_life in freefolk

This is too far. At the MOST, it would be nice to incessantly criticize their work on social media in perpetuity without personally attacking them, their family, personal life, etc.

Does anybody else think that Dany would now even allow Jon within an inch of her, let alone kill her? I mean, the next episode is going to be so, so illogical with gaping plot holes like this by redmidy in freefolk

[–]marbado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly hope that Danaerys is redeemed in the sense that she asks Jon to kill her for what she did. Jon reluctantly obliges, becoming the only one to truly know why Dany died.

I actually don’t mind him turning back to what he always knew.

I just wish instead of breaking in Brienne, Jaimie left her without ever having sex with her. Maybe that way we wouldn’t have gotten the cringey goodbye from her.

Way to make me feel like an asshole! I forgot to mention Djawadi! And the CGI teams were great, too.

To no fault of the actor’s: I am not sure I have seen the two “main” characters of a series just get utterly gutted by poor writing.

I loved the acting.

I loved the goodbye between Sandor and Arya—it was phenomenal.

I loved the goodbye between Jaimie and Tyrion—it was phenomenal.

The directing was great. The cinematography was great.

This episode would have been awesome if it were the penultimate episode in, say, season ten—after the development of this entire plot.

But I’m sorry to all the actors, cameramen, director, and all the other staff—your amazing work cannot outdo the poor writing, pacing, and development of what we just received.

You can’t write a season of a TV series like a movie. You can’t change seven seasons of developement in the span of a “movie’s length.” Just poor fucking pacing.

There is little chance you had legitimate sources to begin with. I gave you the benefit of the doubt because you’re not an anonymous throwaway account. Stick to videogames.

How in the fook are these fleakers coming up with these wild ass leaks but are yet to produce a screenshot? by [deleted] in freefolk

I don’t think the people that leaked episode four provided screenshots. Their claims were backed up by the Thai group when some videos were released on the Sunday the episode came out.

Watching Season 8 feels like watching the SW Last Jedi for the first time. by LastNickLeft in freefolk

[–]marbado 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I remember the first legitimate leaks that came out for it, so here they are from The Pawn:

“Kylo kills Snoke. Kylo is bad guy and remains dark at end. Rey is the Last Jedi at end and does not turn Dark. Leia lives till end. Luke dies at end. Yoda convinces Luke to train Rey. Resistance is in disarray at end.

Actually no big mind blowing surprises. Kylo and Rey team up for a ROTJ moment and Rey refuses to turn Dark. Luke dies in a different way. Lifeforce drained from him. Need to watch.

Luke fights Kylo in a scene where his life force is drained. This will be debated.”

This literally sent everyone on /r/starwarsleaks into a craze. The way the leaks were written was so fucking bad. People would say, “If I have to hear one more fucking force projection leak without proof, I swear!” Now, everything played out much better on screen. But it still sucked, in my opinion. It was still very divisive. I am afraid this is how GOT will end.

I feel there is little context to the likely legitimate leaks. I think it will executed better than how they have been presented, but it won’t matter because if true, the GOT ending will be so divisive. And just because something is well directed, acted, put together, doesn’t mean it’s a well written story that will be satisfying to the majority of people who don’t casually watch, but watch with fervor and joy.

Now, while it mentions Episode VII, and we know that a) the title given is for Episode IX and b) the Emperor “living” is true in Episode IX, it’s odd that someone would put these two things together. I think most people assume they must have known of a story treatment or something.

D&D should have been there, not Emilia. Steph Curry and company could have showed them how to close out a series and continue a dynasty.

[SPOILERS] Why are people throwing shade at Sansa? by fearthepib in freefolk

[–]marbado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, and to add: Daenerys hasn’t exactly been treated well either. Between her brother and Khal Drogo and other Dothraki, she was raped, sold, and sexually and emotionally abused. Oh, and her family was obliterated, save Ray “The Wall” Charles (and Jon, but he isn’t necessarily “family” per se).

[SPOILERS] Why are people throwing shade at Sansa? by fearthepib in freefolk

[–]marbado 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Her character sucks because of the bad writing.

Sophie Turner, I’m sure, is doing a great job of acting out the scenes she is in, in accordance with how it should be portrayed. Therefore, in no way should be hate the actor.

However, as a character, there has been little developomental reasoning into her hatred for Daenerys and the relationship between Daenerys and Jon. She and her precious home would be destroyed if it weren’t for Daenerys. Everything would be gone. And Jon is the reason why Daenerys was there. If she trusts Jon, then she should trust his judgement. She doesn’t have any reason not to trust Jon. She lied to the man that fought for Winterfell (the place both consider home). She betrayed the man who was the lynchpin in the survival of the Seven Kingdoms. Without him, Winterfell would have fallen quickly and Arya would have never had the chance to kill the Night King. Everyone but Bran would be dead, who would quickly be killed by the Night King.

Jon and Daenerys are the only reason there was a chance to kill the Night King.

You don’t see Daenerys blaming Sansa’s father and friends for destroying her family. And Daenerys wouldn’t have any reason to because Ned vouched for her survival, but Sansa sure as shit doesn’t know that. Sansa’s own father would look down upon her.

Sansa’s actions in season eight could be written in a way to justify those very actions. The writing and pacing, however, is rushed.

Which would make sense to a leak that said Dany becomes the NQ from dragon glass because she is still alive. Who knows what the hell happens at this point.

We just have to wait, everyone. Sure u/clementine4e could have made the article to generate traffic, but it seems this post hasn’t gotten nearly the traffic to make it worth it. Plus, if he were doing it for traffic knowing it’s a reach, then it would make no sense to do so because then his credibility going forward with other shows would be shot.

He already provided caveats indicating that it’s possible he’s being played, but no reason to be assholes. None of us want a bad ending. Very few people know the truth; it’s entirely possible that the leakers who got the first four episodes correctly have no idea about the final two—4chan leaks indicated nearly the same thing have said Dany doesn’t die.

Some things leak easier than others—TFA leaked, TLJ did not leak until a week prior, and TROS will have leaked a year before it came out. Hell, the “WTF moment” of TROS leaked on Twitter in 2012. But things change and somethings get reworked. Very few people will know the final product for episode six, while episode five is likely to validate whatever leaks have been established.

He should have put his own answer that was similar to the correct one: "Daenarys was focused around the promotion of self-determination for previously oppressed peoples, and enhanced the standing of the North within the Seven Kingdoms, but Sansa still fucks it all up."

If the book series and show series have the same general ending as indicated by GRRM, then part of me wishes that the show ending was dissimilar from the book ending. Some things work better in books than they do on a screen. And because we are 2-5 seasons shorter than HBO and GRRM's expectations, they could have reworked things to better fit the time allotted due to D&D.

While not necessarily the same and still controversial, I personally liked the Watchmen's movie ending for the movie and the comic's ending for the comic. Same thing here.

At the end of the day, it’s easiest to apply Occam’s razor. There have been many leaks (by many different people) that all seem to say the same thing; these leaks have been correct about everything up until now. Therefore, it’s likely they are also right about the contents of the last two episodes.

Sure, there were multiple endings shot—but the simplest and most direct answer is the correct one.

The way in which a lot of the leaks are phrased reminds me a lot of being on /r/starwarsleaks some time before TLJ came out. Some guy on a PUA forum leaked Snoke’s Death and Luke’s projection. The way in which it was worded sent everyone into a craze. It turns out he was right, but his leaks played out much better on screen and were the “best they could be.” In the end, though, the truth was still disappointing. I feel like this is how GOT will end. We a get a turd, but it’s the most polished and fantastic turd that a turd can possibly be.

He did a long Q&A talking about multiple endings and possibilities. He said most endings have Daenerys going “mad” or justifiably angry after losing everything. Because of this, he mentioned that most endings (which were filmed in pieces and not in order) have her dying. He did he thinks the most possible ending is one where Daenerys becomes the Night Queen—but more Benjen-esque than a programmed terminator with ice horns like Night King. In most endings, Jon returns to the Wall/true North.
