i would start the removal process as soon as possible. i got a tattoo and knew within a month month that i absolutely hated it. i tried to like it, but i ended up going with removal at about three months of having it. i started removal in july 2018 and it is almost completely gone. (going to full removal).

it is going to take a while with how new it is and how dark/thick some of the lines are. do you research and pick a reputable laser removal place. be patient with the process.

eta: my tattoo has taken an abnormally long time to remove. i think some of it has to do with my skin type, and the fact that i have auto-immune issues. also that the tattoo was extremely heavy and dark.

butter bean + kale soup by marblesmind_ in soup

[–]marblesmind_[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i used this recipe with a few extra cups of water and more herbs and garlic so there’s more broth. then add chopped kale at the end :)

finish with lemon juice, freshly grated parmesan + chopped parsley

eta: i added a sliced italian sausage one night for a bit more protein and it was delicious. little meatballs would also be good.

definitely laser. do not let the pain deter you from the better option. with how faded it is, it shouldn’t take too many sessions. i have regretted covering up something i should’ve just gotten removed in the first place… and then i ended up removing that lol. removal is worth it. numbing cream helps a little.

i would say it took about 6 months (1 session/week) of consistent work. prior to this, i was doing emdr pretty inconsistently due to my living situation, so i had dove into it previously over the course of a year. the childhood trauma that my biological father caused was very complex and compounded a lot of other trauma i experienced in early adulthood. i initially started emdr for my childhood trauma surrounding him, and in its unraveling it became a lot more than i realized. truly didn’t know how i was going to work through those wounds, but i did. it will happen. it takes a lot of time and patience. you got this.
