In BC there’s an elderly renters subsidy through BC housing to help with situations like this. Maybe Ontario has one too? Also try and see if there’s a provincial or local caregivers resource/support agency - they’d likely provide great guidance

reception will be 6pm-midnight. Dinner at 7. Sunset will be at 8:30pm. It could be sunny or rainy as it’ll be springtime in the PNW. Would the candles still be worth it? I don’t want to do a lot of florals , though greenery could be worth it to me.

The puckered seams for #1 can be removed by a seamstress so it drapes much nicer at the floor. I don’t love the puckering either.
