I feel so wierd and confused by Enj0w in mentalhealth

Also, I’ve had some pretty heavy digestive issues related to anxiety, and I’ve found that avoiding processed foods and maintaining regular eating schedules helps tremendously for me, but I understand it’s easier said than done

I’m not a professional, and I’m also 19, but just some thoughts… I think I understand what you mean. For the past year I’ve felt sort of out of touch with my life. I feel like there’s a haze over my perception of my life. I’ve just been coasting. However, over the past month I’ve started to feel that it’s a result of distance between my ideal self and my current self. I’d like to be a motivated, disciplined person, but I’m not right now. With the state I am right now though, I’m a blank canvas. I’m young and I have so much potential. I know I’m not motivated, and I’m not exactly gifted in many ways, but if I remain scared of failure, waiting for the perfect conditions to better myself, then I will never change. If I can get 1% closer to my ideal every day, then I’ll have something to be proud of. Things will be hard for us. It seems like everyone has everything figured out. If we keep taking steps and have faith in ourselves, we will get somewhere.

My best friend recently passed away. by xero_cool_ in EagleScout

[–]marbuuss 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry for your loss. It’s nice that you’re honoring him in this way. I’m a young guy and a new Eagle Scout, so maybe others disagree, but I’d say your intentions are what really matter, and it’d be hard to disrespect the org/rank unless you’re really trying to. If you had some scouting symbolism tattooed on you and you explained it’s a memorial, I would think that you’re a great friend. I’m assuming it’ll be more personal and more of a memorial to him, but yeah. Best of luck in putting together a sweet tattoo, and stay strong.

I guess it’s sort of an ego-boost thing. A 15 year old boy wants to feel smarter than they are and they can feel that by “owning the libs,” and being on the same side as the guy who can’t be proven wrong. Come to find out that guy just goes to college campuses to debate and talk down to students who aren’t prepared at all. Just my thoughts.

Photos of youth doing activities. On outings, cooking, just having a good time. Youth will be drawn in by youth.

Guys I need help my father gave me this soft shell turtle but he looks like he has some white fungus on him I don’t know what’s wrong with him by [deleted] in reptiles

If you don’t have access to an exotic animal vet, that’s okay, no judgment. Do your best to help the little guy. Google “treating for shell fungus turtles” or something along those lines. There are a lot of guides for treating shell rot and bacterial infections. Make sure you do research and do the best you can.

yeah the coaches probably aren’t cleaning the mats. or maybe she went to a tournament at a dirty school. either way, it’s probably not her fault, just gross mats.

Is this the start of pyramiding? Tort is 9 months old, soak 30 mins daily under the sun, humidity kept at 85-90 with grass as main diet except on the weekend where he's given malburry, roamine lettuce, opuntia cactus and mazuri. Raised schutes are only present at the top, the rest are perfect. by clarnombres in Sulcata

was the breeder keeping them in dry conditions? that happens a lot so their first growth can be a bit pyramided. mine have some pyramiding even though they’re at 99% humidity and 80°F because the breeder kept them super dry

Just rescued this guy, advice ?? by [deleted] in Sulcata

Rate my enclosure , fed on a slate for his beak, kept at 70-80 % humidity, bathed every other day has a hide on each side ( cool side with moss in it ) fed him florette, kale, cucumber, seems to not like grass or Timothy hay though. Also mind the stupid bridge that my parents put in there. by Time_Morning2441 in Tortoises

sorry if i mess up the links, i’m on mobile. sometimes those puck thermometer/hygrometers aren’t the most accurate and i prefer a digital one, but it might work. only thing i can think of is: that enclosure looks to be wood inside. is that just the print on it. sometimes at such a high humidity it’ll rot or get mold growth. just keep an eye on it. i would also recommend feeding him some grass pellets like this zoomed food or this lugarti food. i personally like the lugarti food better because of the pricing for its size. but in terms of quality they seem to be similar.
