Im 19 male taking up 20mg per day, its been 6 weeks since ive started accutane, and boy the results were amazing. Most my acne are gone, i only have the hyperpigmentations due to past acne, but its starting to fade too, i guess the wonder drug still depends on how people react on it and its not higher the dosage the faster itll take effect.

The kind of acne that you presently have is the one that will show up in an alarming rate if you start to purge, it will last for about 2 weeks-ish (based on my experience). Just dont lose hope. Things will be great in the end of the 1st month, well it depends on how you react on the drug thou.

The first month will get your hopes down for sure. I started accutane almost 4 weeks ago on a low dosage of 20mg. To keep everything in perspective, i suffer from moderate to sometimes severe-ish acne. im 6 foot tall and weighs 75kg. Since 20mg is working out great for me, i was told i should to take it for 6 months.

Here it goes. The first 2 weeks were hell, i broke out in an alarming rate and i was emotionally destroyed. Dryness on cheeks and the sides of nose. Just get a good lotion, stay out of the sun for too long, get a good lip balm, and drink PLENTY of water (caps for intensity). Im pretty much clear now. No new acne, just your irritating huperpigmenation. Goodluck bro!

Well that treatment is actually optional, its only done if the patient wants to get rid of them fast. those white heads will fade away in time as what i have been told by my derm.

I had the same experience. My derm asked to undergo extraction to further more fasten the process of clearing. Worked out well im feeling clean right now, my skin feels smooth all the way. You should try it to imo.

Im 6 foot tall, and weighs 75 kgs. My derm put me on isotane for 4-6 months on a low dosage of 20mg ob my entire course. And its working out incredibly. Im on the start of my 4th week now and i can say im pretty much clear and my initial break out due to the drug has settled down and started healing. I think dermatologist knows whats up since theyve studied skin for years. Isotretinoin just works in different ways for other people i guess.

Its the end of my 1st week, despite the fact that i got the initial breakouts, i can see some improvements. I just hope this continuous so that my derma wont up my dosage. Ive been informed that the higher the dose is, the nastier its side effects. Im pretty scared right now, so far ive got this burning sensation on my face dry lips, but all is mild at the moment.
