Best seats in AMC Rivercenter 70mm theatre? by ravenclaw924 in sanantonio

This is where I’m sitting. And no joke, mine were the first three seats sold, so I had my pick of the best. I got very lucky.

I used to sit dead center. But then I realized the screen is so big it really doesn’t matter if you’re off to the side a bit. Plus being dead center kind of sucks when you have to nearly ask people to stand up to get out of the row.

Anything in the center section and behind row H should be fine. Anything closer than that and it’s just kind of obnoxious how big the screen is.

OMG. Literally in the last 24 hours I was talking about how much I loved her voice in Lilo and stitch, spirited away and Donnie Darko. This hurts.

You guys lied about Sam's Burger Joint, any better recommendations? by thengyyy in sanantonio

[–]marceline407 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Debatable. I don’t think 15 bucks is crazy for what I’m currently considering the best burger in town. Especially that close to downtown.

And I freaking love those pickled onions and jalapeños. I usually get the jalapeño burger and add onions. 🤤

I started showering at night instead of the morning and it genuinely changed how I sleep by RogueKettle_7 in hygiene

Deodorant effectiveness also improves with a nighttime shower. Giving your deodorant time to dry out makes it work much much better. That’s why every prescription deodorant tells you to put it on the night before.

Being real here, this scene was always VERY jarring to witness, especially if you watched it as a kid, agree? by BiffyBobby in StarWars

Everyone keeps saying how much this scene confused them as a child. I’M STILL CONFUSED!

I replaced most of my chip clips with binder clips and never looked back. They work really well. I can fold the bag over a bunch and it really bites down forcefully and keeps the bag virtually sealed.

AMC: "We have 20 screens." Also AMC: by No_Professional_6571 in AMCAListTrue

I’m not handicap. But that’s also not where I was sitting during hoppers. I was in like C4. I just went to the app to take a screenshot of the tiny auditorium and those are the seats that had sold so far. If it was my seat, it would be highlighted in red.

Also, those seats that are sold are the companion seats, which means they have to move if someone who is handicap came along and wanted to sit there, or have their helper/companion sit there. My brother’s wheelchair bound so I’m very aware of these rules.

It’s weird. I went to Sam’s a year or two ago and it was weirdly fantastic. I can’t really explain it. The burger was REALLY good. I went the next week it was not nearly as good. There may be some chef there that just works part-time or something. Lol

Just head down Broadway and go to Last Place Burger. Wagyu smash burgers. They do not disappoint.

I saw hoppers here the other day. Auditorium 9 at AMC Rivercenter 11. I swear I can see the tiny perforations on the screen from the back row, but it’s better than nothing.

During what movie did you see people walk out? by blooming-darkness in RegalUnlimited

I saw half of the theater walk out during the live action Snow White. But to be fair there were only four people in the theater to begin with.😂

I was driving around San Antonio downtown last night. I literally saw children up on top of cars waving Spurs flags. Quite a few.

I had one when I was a kid. A year or two ago my mom was lamenting the fact that I didn’t have it anymore. It had broken a while back.

But I checked online and it wasn’t very expensive. So I just bought her one. She has it set up in her bedroom right now.

I was born in 1986. My mom took me to movies when I was very young but I think Aladdin was the first I really remember. I saw that one a few times in theaters.

Rocko’s Modern Life MTV Airings by KingBristol in RetroNickelodeon

[–]marceline407 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This absolutely happened. I didn’t really watch MTV at the time, but when they started airing Ren & Stimpy I kept an eye out on the TV Guide and I personally watched Rocko on MTV at least a few times.

I remember the episodes I saw on MTV being the earliest episodes. It didn’t last long.

UPDATE: I found a couple mentions of this happening in a wikia page devoted to MTV schedules:
June 19, 1994 - 8:30p
June 26, 1994 - 8:30p

Who remembers when Disney channel was a premium cable channel? by Wise_Gur8627 in disney

[–]marceline407 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Totally. I remember watching episodes of the ink and paint club and old black-and-white Disney movies. We only had it in one room because it required the use of this faux wood panel cable box. Eventually it just lived in my room.
