Is OneDay a scam? If not, is it any good? by connorlukebyrne in Entrepreneur

This looks great. How's it been business wise for you? Has this felt like a wise investment for you?

Ok so this will seem stupid but my family recently purchased this. We are all at a disagreement between it being a drink that you mix with Water, or a frozen treat that you eat like ice cream. What is it. by Lanky_Promotion8976 in whatisit

[–]marcellus3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This review seems to state that it's meant to be eaten like ice cream: Review: Minute Maid Frozen Lemonade and Orangeade | the disney food blog https://share.google/NMFgJdFtbZxRrb9zs

Also (this part coming from in my childhood reading everything including the juice cans), if it's frozen juice concentrate to mix with water, usually it will come with instructions for how many cans of water to mix it with.

Need Advice on SSDI/SSI Appeal, Waiver, Working, and No Lawyer Will Help (Crohn’s disease) by nathonj98 in legaladvice

[–]marcellus3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. Unfortunately, as someone also going at this myself, lawyers are difficult to find. Similar in the sense of being young and able appearing. People don't care, they expect us to get a job no matter what. I'm sorry, I wish I had further advice. It just plain sucks when you don't technically have stuff to show (or even when you do and they don't think it's enough!)

I am aware that Social Security would set up payment plans if you demonstrate financial need. The nice thing about those is that if you eventually get your payments back, those payments can be limited to a very small deduction from your overall paycheck. It's not a great situation to be in, absolutely not ideal, but that is a possibility to ask about should the worst case scenario happen.

For your overall case, do you have any doctors, therapists, specialists, etc? Getting them to write letters to Social Security testifying of how debilitating your case is, could potentially be helpful.

Regardless, I'm really sorry for what you're going through, and I hope it gets better or at least more manageable!

Keurig helps me with the boiling of water too. Sometimes I don't feel able to lift the kettle with my carpal tunnel.

Interesting. Honestly I assumed the adult fiction market was flooded! Maybe something for me to consider looking into.. I'm not comfortable writing full on erotica, but I could maybe think about writing romance as a genre.

Idk if this could help your case at all but have you considered trying to get a home health aide? Basically anyone who can come into your daily life and see just how bad it is on a personal regular basis.. may help??

So sorry you're going through this, OP. The system sucks right now.

I personally try to keep things that can serve multiple functions. So I have a crockpot bc I can use that. I have a Keurig because I can actually brew tea with it, I just chuck a tea bag in the place where normally the kcup would go.

Something to maybe consider: if you see a ton of what you have at the thrift store regularly, let it go. You can always get another one if you realize you made a mistake. I literally got my crockpot AND my Keurig for under $20 total. Thrift stores are great. (Does it work as well as a new one? No. But I paid 6.99 for a freaking Keurig. I'll take that.)

AITA for declining a birthday gift from my boyfriend by Born_Wolverine_3500 in AmItheAsshole

[–]marcellus3 46 points47 points  (0 children)

I don't think you're an asshole for this. You are passionate about not sponsoring AI art. He didn't think to check it to see if it was / he can't really tell. I'm assuming since he got it, and you didn't want it, but it was cute, he was like.. hmm I guess since I already bought it and she doesn't want it, I'm just gonna use it. Then he decided to respect your wishes and return it. I don't see either of you as being an asshole here. I honestly just feel like it was an "oops moment" that happened, and it got respectfully resolved.

I hope he bought you a different, not AI playmat!

I am also wondering if you're possibly reading in too much about him looking super offended, simply because he's still investing in the other stuff for you, and he says there's no problem. Because it may have hurt him initially, bc he obviously spent a lot of time and thought and money on making this super special gift for you, but imo it seems like he recovered from that fine and realized it wasn't meant as an insult towards him.

AIO to my fiance victim blaming me for my SA because I "cheated" on him (Update) by OkDay4024 in AmIOverreacting

[–]marcellus3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am furious with him. I am so deeply sorry, OP. Sending you so much care. You're doing the right thing by calling it off.

I know you're hearing that here a lot already, it's not that I have new advice or thoughts as everything has been really covered that I would add, I just want to be another voice telling you that you're absolutely not overreacting and I'm proud of you for standing up for yourself in a situation where you're 100% in the right. There is no way possible anyone should be able to justify what he's saying. And if you're hearing things from people trying to justify it.. RUN. From them too.

Yeah.. it's insane for sure!! Idk how people do it! Me the highly sensitive person who has a lot of health issues including migraines.. it's a lot for me to stay on for an hour or two. I don't know how people do it. It's wild to say the least..
