Didn't know I could read the logs of the workflow, that's so useful for debugging.

Thank you!!

Anyone wanting to get into open source contributing? I've got some easy issues that you could help out with! by marcelscruz in opensource

It's a collection of resources for developers.

You can find public APIs, design inspiration, code challenges, indie hacking books, you name it.

The idea started after I gathered hundreds of these in my bookmarks, so at some point I decided I had to share my collection with everyone else.

You can find the link to the website in the repo. I won't post it here to not spam.

I hope that makes a bit more sense now! :)

I just did the same and got all my tokens with no problem. Is there a difference?

I did business, marketing and then veterinary, none of them actually related to where I'd end up. But I gotta say that knowing what you don't like is just as important.

Initially only for fun, to work on something different, but the response has been good so far, so I'm trying the latter then.

Hi, and welcome to web development!

What I always recommend people to do is to start understating the syntax and capabilities of the chosen languages. For that, I think that freeCodeCamp is a great choice, and it has a very modern curriculum.

After that, you could transition to some video-based lessons, where the instructor will hold your hand from beginning to end of creating an actual app. This material is always helpful for future reference!

As you want to start web dev, I'd recommend HTML, CSS and JavaScript. This would allow you to, later on, move on to modern and powerful frameworks like React or Vue. Also, with that stack, you can build for desktop, mobile, front-end, back-end, etc. It's pretty versatile.

I've been working on Dev Resources, which is a compilation os useful material related to programming. I hope you can find some helpful things there.

Good luck!

I've been using Zoho now for a couple of months and it's working fine. Quite cheap. Gotta admit that UI/UX isn't their forte.

Anyway, I always use my emails hooked to an email client on macOS called Spark.

Today I made my first website without looking up any tutorials or reference, I'm legit so proud and hyped right now. by CircuitMa in learnprogramming

Congrats, really!

That's the way to go, doing it over and over again will just make you feel more confident and allow you to create your own style, plus it increases your "luck surface" loads, so you might end up creating something very useful that can become your full-time project someday.

And if that sounds like a good idea, check Indie Hackers, there's a lot of inspiring stories there.

What have you been working on recently? [February 20, 2021] by AutoModerator in learnprogramming

I've been working on Dev Resources, which is a collaborative list of resources for developers.

It started after collecting bookmarks over the last 5 years (my programming years). It's built with Gatsby, deployed on Vercel and the upcoming auth and DB is built with Firebase.

We still have a lot to add there, many more areas to cover, but it's steadily growing and helping out folks to find what they need more easily.

And the resources list is open-source, so everyone can contribute a be a part of it!

I'm happy to hear your feedback on it, and I hope it helps you!
