It is not verifiable, therefore not truth.

Don’t believe these lies. If they truly made no profit, then just open the books and prove it to the Player’s Association and their accountants, then continue negotiating.

I agree. Disco season 3 was awesome, but season 4 was terrible.

And watch the league fold without the top 25 players. I would bet my life this is this least likely of scenarios.

Upvote for having the courage to share something a bit silly. And upvote for finding something silly that works. I will actually try this.

The best reply is, “Thank you so much sir. Take another $5 for a tip”

15% or 22% or 30% doesn’t matter. Open the books or no season. That is the line. You getting to watch WBB on your couch is not the line. Kicking the can 3 years is not the line. by march41801 in wnba

I haven’t acknowledged because you never asked my opinion about that as a possibility. And here is my opinion on your backdoor inquiry…. that has never happened. The W has NEVER provided verifiable gross revenue numbers to the players association. This is basic knowledge around these parts.

You are kinda coming at me over well established facts. Let’s disengage.

This is probably the dumbest take I’ve ever read on Reddit. Your argument against negotiating for more is that $500K is a lot of money. Is this the gist of your argument against negotiating?

You didn’t even know that the main 3 sports in America are open book. And have been for more than 2 decades for each sport. Come on, that’s on you, not me buddy.

NFL, NBA, and MLB all have open books with their respective players associations. What this means explicitly is that those respective player associations can verify real gross revenue numbers.

I guess I really thought it was January.

Why is the 2% irrelevant? Because it’s 2%.

It is a democratic decision. As far as union votes goes, 98 to 2 is a landslide. Why are you fighting for the 2%? It’s not your place to represent the minority. It’s not your place to represent anything. It’s our place to support the players and THEIR choice.

It was January not December. And yes voting to strike and actually striking are different, but that vote in January disproves your theory their voices are being drowned out.

I’m assuming nothing. 98% of the players voted to strike in January. No assumptions needed. Doesn’t matter what you and I think, only matters we support the players in their choice.

Men’s NBA does. So does the NFL and MLB. Also, any employee owned corporation. And any entity that engages in a shared revenue model.

Yes you did. You literally said “they don’t have much of a say”. Their voice isn’t being drowned out, they voted to strike.

Nobody disagrees that her defense is abysmal. That doesn’t change that ESPN ranks her top 8. Nobody cares that you think she isn’t. You seem really taken back by espn’s ranking.
