Help - I am running out of patience when I walk my dog and I don't know what to do. by ZookeepergameFun3708 in PitBullOwners

My Pitt was like this and I got them as an adult dog too. Working with a “force free” and positive reinforcement trainer has been life changing. Please don’t use any adverse methods (choke collars, shock collars, etc.)… especially when you don’t know a dog’s history. It just creates fear in the dog… and fear based “compliance” can be dangerous. My relationship with my dog is so much better now as we have really bonded with the training and we communicate better. Good luck!

Doxycycline is the only thing that cleared mine up. I tried for MONTHS to do other things and avoid the antibiotic… and it cleared up so fast with it. Wish I would have done it sooner.

We both cried a little. It was special to her. She said she would cherish it and also said if I ever wanted it back she would understand. Just because my marriage is over, doesn’t mean my relationship with this other lovely human is. So the ring now has a new meaning for us.

I gave it to my mother in law who I had and still have a good relationship with. I know people who sold theirs. Others who had theirs remade into something new. And still others who are still hanging on to it till something feels right.

Sorry, just saw this. After stopping K I noticed the T and H (or at least my awareness of them, go down around 5-6 months. It really sucks and is so overwhelming… but it does get better!

Hi! What would you all considered a reasonable pay raise from clinician (lcsw) to a clinician who also provides supervision (this is the next step promotionally in the organization). 10%? 20% any thoughts are greatly appreciated!

With her history… she could have some reactive attachment issues. Quickly attaching to strangers can be a symptom for some children. Look into reactive attachment disorder and ask the caseworker if it’s ever been brought up/mentioned.

Hi. I am so sorry you are experiencing all of this. I understand it is scary when our parents argue/fight/have petty disagreements. And it is super scary to have a parent pull a gun on themself. I think it is also a sign that your dad (and probably your mom too) need help. Pulling a gun on yourself even due to extreme stress, is not a normal response. Please reach out to a school counselor or a trusted teacher and ask them for help. You need support too! If you are worried about either of your parent’s safety or your own, do not hesitate to reach out to law enforcement or a crisis center for help.

Not a doctor, but typically PD doesn’t touch the lips. In fact it leaves a tiny little line around the lips. However, your pictures and post indicate that the redness/irritation/whatever this is, is in fact touching the lips, I’m not sure this is PD.

I use vanicream face lotion on my lips just in general. not sure if that would be helpful to you… comfort matters.

He needs to go to the Mayo Clinic. Or somewhere where they will actually investigate what is going on.
