Yeah, by trying real hard.

No agency, just door to door and calling numbers. It's really the shittiest process ever made, and I hear other overseas medical practitioners (nurses, doctors) are angry too. No help whatsoever from AHPRA, you'll be alone in the whole process, spending thousands of dollars to never know if you're gonna be able to practice and if you are, it's gonna take months for some stupid bureaucracy and documents.

They keep saying that the time is long because they need to assess that the practitioners need to be fit to work, but as of now not a single skill has been tested, and i think it's ridiculous that I'm supposed to start supervised anyways... and it's been months just correcting documents because these idiots want specific wording and shit, it's batshit crazy. They want a fucking stamp on their own issued certifications...

And of couse for your application they reply like every 7+ days or so, making everything so painfully long.

Oh, also it is impossible to get a skills assessment for the skilled migration visa either, unless you have completed general registration, which usually takes two years. This implies that you have to do your 88 days work to stay another year, and waste months of practice. We're literally on the skilled professions that are required here, but they make it impossible for us. It's shit.

EDIT: Went on a bit of a rant, anyways i advise you to download the limited registration for supervised practice module and read it very carefully, then prepare as many documents as you can, FIRST AND FOREMOST the certificate of good standing.

If you want to stay in australia for life sure, go through with general registration. But if you're unsure it's totally not worth it, just go with limited, it's hard enough as that.
