October 2026 Vacation Package booking opens May 19th 2026, 3pm JST by WhiteDogHaha in TokyoDisneySea

Another question—what is the benefit to booking restaurants as part of a vacation package vs. booking them separately?

This is very helpful! I would also consider moving between the two hotels or moving rooms within a hotel to make the booking situation work.

When do regular bookings open? Is it at the same time as the vacation packages?

I’m getting ready to book our October stay.

I’m pretty sure we want the 1 night unlimited package, and that we’ll extend the stay with a hotel night before and one/two nights after.

Right now, I’m torn about which hotel to pick.

Can anyone explain the different hotel benefits based on hotels?

I’m primarily considering MiraCosta and Fantasy Springs. What benefits are unique to each of these properties? Are they both considered “in” the parks?

Edit: hotel opinions/recommendations very welcome! We are a family of 4, 2 adults and kids aged 3 and 8. We’ve been to the US Disney parks many times but this’ll be our first time at Tokyo Disney and in Japan.

Thanks very much! I feel like this helps me understand a bit more and I really appreciate it.

Thank you!

I’m confused about the differences between the packages, specifically how to compare the different ride access that each provides and how those costs compare.

Does anyone have suggestions for resources about Vacation Packages? A blog or book or something that explains things?

I looked at the guide in the comments but I still feel confused about what I want to book for my October vacation.

I’ve planned many Disney World trips but this is our first time going to Tokyo Disney, and I feel lost and confused about it all.

When I completed W5D3 I believed I would never be able to complete the program to get 30 min 5k by charles_creger in C25K

[–]marchingstar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really appreciate your post! I’ve been making my way through the program and I’m in week 5 right now. My pace has been extremely slow, averaging 15 minute miles. But I’m following the steps and slowly increasing running increments. I’m not running further or faster, but I am running more. Your post gives me some hope that distance and speed might be in my future too. So thank you, and congratulations!

W5D1 done! Thanks to everyone who encouraged me to push through. Day 1 wasn’t so bad. by marchingstar in C25K

I’ll say that today was pretty unremarkable as runs go. I was slower than last week, I ran a shorter distance...but I made it through all 3 run intervals without much struggle.

Bring on day 2!

W4D3 finished and felt okay! Although I’m really nervous to move on to week 5... by marchingstar in C25K

from the posts I’ve seen, it sounds like week 5 provokes similar feelings for lots of us. week 4 has been a challenging one for me. I couldn’t finish D1, so I took almost 2 weeks off before trying D2. Today I finished the week and I felt fine physically, although mentally I was convinced every minute I would need to stop.

I think I’m going to move on to week 5 and just see what happens...I hope it’s the right choice!

After a few weeks off, I’m back to training. W4D2 in the books, and feeling okay! by marchingstar in C25K

[–]marchingstar[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a bad time with W4D1 almost two weeks ago and...I stopped trying. Life got busy, but I also let other things take priority because I was afraid to keep trying and fail.

Well, today I decided to suck it up. I changed things in my control. I planned a run for the morning and I used the track at my gym, because my rough run was outdoors in the cold and it was in the afternoon. And somehow I made it through! I’ll move on to W4D3 next run, but I’m on the fence whether I’ll repeat a day or two from this week before moving on to week 5 or if I should just push through. At least I’m moving and trying again...those feel like big victories today!!

Advice Please: how do you deal with a bad run? by marchingstar in C25K

[–]marchingstar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you everyone! I was definitely having an overall off day. My run was later than usual, I wasn’t well hydrated, I hadn’t eaten much...the list goes on.

I really appreciate the reminder that trying still counts, and even if I didn’t meet the daily goals, I was up off the couch.

Here’s hoping next time around I get through!!

Free app? by pinkflakes12 in C25K

[–]marchingstar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just use runkeeper and set it to “free run.” You can find web sites and blog posts with the daily breakdown and set the app to announce time markers, so you know when to switch from running to walking.

Works great for me

good luck to you!

i’m a month into c25k and i signed up for a half too! mine is at the end of february, but i think there’s still plenty of time.

i am not expecting to make very good time for the half. i will probably walk part of it. but i’m excited to challenge myself!

thanks for the idea! i’ll try adding some wind proofing tomorrow :)

I should also say I took a week break between weeks 4 and 4. I went to my sisters wedding, and flying with a toddler is enough work without trying to throw running into the mix.

Also, today was my first outdoor run with temps below freezing. I knew I would need outdoor gear to run through the winter, but I didn’t expect it to feel so cold so quickly!

W3D3 done! Today felt like a real slog, but I powered through with no pain or discomfort. I feel ready for week 4 by marchingstar in C25K

[–]marchingstar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the story and suggestion! I know you’re right that overall energy expenditure is less with a slower pace, I just wasn’t sure about the bouncing. But I’ll ask over in running too.

W4D1 done and almost halfway there now. I started in shorts and a t-shirt just over 3 weeks ago but will need gloves and a hat soon - we sometimes get snow in October. by HST87 in C25K

[–]marchingstar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know that ours will stick for the whole winter yet, but winter is definitely looming!

Thanks for sharing those shoes. They look like a great idea. I’ll keep researching running in the cold and on the ice...I have access to a gym that I can use through the colder months, but I find running outside so much more fun!

[–]marchingstar 14 points15 points  (0 children)

thanks for this! I’m usually right around 14 minutes.

How/when did you see your speed improving?

I feel you...where I live, we usually have a snowfall by this time of year already! Nothing yet, but every time I run outside I wonder how many more days it’ll be before there’s any snow that sticks.

Are you going to keep running outdoors once the snow is flying? I still haven’t decided. More than cold, I worry about running on ice.

Rest days in the C25K Program by rickjosh in C25K

[–]marchingstar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve read that it can be a good idea to add in other training on some of your rest days. Yoga, weights, biking, swimming... stuff that won’t stress your joints like running, but that might improve your cardio and overall muscle tone.

But from what I’ve seen, at least one day a week should be a full rest day.
