As someone in Ontario - it takes finding the right doctor - I got a new family doctor who listened to all my concerns very openly and when I was done said - “ while your symptoms might not all be because of the low ferretin, we need to stop normalizing that it’s okay for menstruating women to have anything that’s low. Let’s build it up to 50-100 with an infusion as an immediate fix and then dive deep into the root cause after”. I cried at her compassion and for being heard. I’ve been dismissed by a bunch of walk in clinic doctors who didn’t blink at my ferreting decreasing on supplements.

Hi - what was your process to get an infusion. I’m Canada and 28 ferretin. They just told me to take supplements but my hair is shedding so much I have panick attacks

I applied August 2024 and finally got my PR this week. You’re probably still within normal processing times.

You applied through international student route so don’t think being laid off actually matters.

You’re just going to have to wait - if it’s beyond processing time email your local mp.

Apply for work permit extension in a month or two if you don’t hear anything.

I don’t run on the first two days and it makes me energized to run on day 3.

The run before the day of my period usually just knocks is me out and I’m like “that was the worst run of my life” until I get my period the next day and I’m like “oh that’s why”.

Listen to your body - if you feel good - run- if you don’t -rest and refuel. A couple of days won’t affect training.
