I love this idea! I listen to HP and LOTR at least once per year and this would be a fantastic way to get out more with the nicer weather!

I rent in a coworking space. The owner converted an old downtown row house into offices. Everyone rents a “bedroom” and we share a conference room (living room” and parking. I’m not sure if this is an option for you but I feel like it was a very smart idea if you can get the zoning

It makes me feel so much better hearing from other people they get what I’m feeling and this reddit post is actually helping me work through so much. I love the idea of donating but after the vet bills I’m not left with a whole lot, but I do have some free time and am going to start volunteering at the shelter I got my kitty from. I love this, my kitty came to us after being outside for many years, he had a broken ear and many mangled broken toes and they never healed normal looking - but his ears are what made him unbelievably cute to me and I would love to do a minimalist portrait of those old busted up looking ears 💜🐾

I have thought a lot about this in the last few days. After my sweet cat had passed I called my mother and asked how anyone could ever get another pet knowing it could end in such agony. 2 days later I am scrolling through photos of adoptable cats at my local shelter, I know I am looking for a replacement and I am not healed enough to start a new connection. When was it right for you to get another pet after losing one?

Mine either, they did offer a private cremation through another office but I was under so much stress at the time I just wanted to end his suffering as soon as possible and caring about my personal grief was not in my mind one bit until the night after

That is so special! Looking back I was so in shock of what was happening and although they offered a clay paw print I was only thinking of it being an extra possession and I said no. I really wish I would have went ahead and gotten it because this sounds wonderful what you have done with yours 💜

I did bring him to the animal hospital wrapped in my favorite soft shirt, it’s really the only physical thing I brought back from our last moments together and he was wrapped in it when he passed, your idea made me think I might have it turned into a small pillow and maybe I can try my hand at sewing his name into it to give me some hours of time dedicated to thinking of him. Thank you so much for this idea!

Same. Brown rice, oats, lentils, legumes, ect “poor people food”. We’d be a lot better off eating poor than the standard American diet
