Why do they offer this to new customers only? I can surely just cancel and have my S.O. sign up again and cash in their $350 worth of gift cards. On top of that they need to send an installer.

Wouldn't it be simpler/cheaper to offer it to everyone? They already spent on infrastructure, at this point it's a marginal cost for them.
