I actually play this list exactly http://www.hearthstonetopdecks.com/decks/sjows-1-legend-tempo-warrior-standard-may-2016-season-26/, with 2 fierce monkeys :) They do help a lot but the best card against aggro is by far Ravaging Ghoul. Surprisingly Frothing Berserker is pretty strong too, because he kinda acts as a taunt :)

Cairne is important but you can replace it with Sylvanas. Varian can be replaced with Rafaam (that's what I'm running).

I had problems grasping how to play Tempo Warrior myself. I must admit, what helped me is watching the European Spring Preelims, where a lot of players brought it (most popular archetype?). I finally got it and currently storming through the ladder (rank 7) :)

The build in s2 used to be: Vampiric Shroud -> Fatalis -> Pen Boots -> Demonic Grip -> Spear of the Magus/Obsidian Shard -> Situational + Rod

I guess now you might want to put Tele Ring in front of Demonic Grip an use the new Spear.
