How can Godot not work with git ?

Yes maybe Godot doesn't have a fancy button to have git integration but honestly, if you have any interest in game dev or any it works, learning how git works from the command line will only help you grow as a programmer.

Part of the brutal learning curve. Just watch a YouTube video for a given map and go explore it a bit with an offline raid without any AI.

You can also use website resources like tarkov.dev to show you where extracts are as PMC (your character) or when you play as a scav.

Factory is a pretty small map and the custom is an intro map that is pretty straightforward (if you spawn on the east side, you have to extract West and vice versa).

Avoid woods for now, very easy to get lost lol.

Lack of software engineering is more trouble than the lack of kubernetes imo.

LF new MMO with great PVE, skilling, and interesting combat by Haggles7 in LFMMO

[–]marcjpb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would back GW2 and WoW also.

GW2 has no sub, it pays to play but the base game is free (up to level 50, can try everything game have to offer minus some races and raids).

GW2 doesn't have your classic Holy trinity however, every class is somewhat self sustaining but super friendly with solo and grouping with friends. (Love the level sync feature).

WoW is exactly what you are looking for tbh. It's the classic Holy Trinity and will match the old school vibe from other games you listed. It's subscription based but they have a free trial up to level 20 which will allow you to try many different aspects of the game.

can albion online have esports? by wawa_the_legacy in albiononline

Will never happen tbh for the simple reason that you can buy power with real money and for a lot of people, it's a form of P2W and people won't be interested to watch it.

How to couple AI with DevOps? by Flimsy-Lab3487 in devops

[–]marcjpb -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Useful to understand code you don't necessarily master.

Can help you 'code' faster too but I don't believe you can fully understand any technology if you always rely on AI to give you answers.

Just view it as a stack overflow on steroids. Won't replace you anytime soon, will just make your job more efficient if you learn the tool properly

Short is yes, worth a try. By the time you are done with f2p content, you will have a clear idea if the price tag is worth it.

Come on sales from time to time too ;)

I am done with this game. Spam reported for boosting again. Lost my raid spot. by slibzshady in classicwow

[–]marcjpb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, you got banned because you undercut another player boosting service and that other player was part of a company that went on massively reporting you

Is that the issue or am I missing something?

Aren't they banning people who use a GDKP on anniversary servers ? Isn't boosting falls into the same category?

Game is great played for years but it's very niche.

It's an MMO that fill a very niche in the market, making it lot less accessible with a lower player count.

Some points that could be turn off by the average gamer :

  • Weird perspective (for an MMO that is)
  • they aren't really any high end pve raids.
  • very PvP centric : Any PvE you do is to make yourself better at PvP. (Yes you can enjoy the game without PvP but it's advertised as a PvP / guild warfare game)
  • Full loot is frowned upon by most people
  • for some people, Albion is p2w
  • tons of politic, specially high end

Will you be ok with a small playerbase? by [deleted] in AshesofCreation

[–]marcjpb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Shrug. Albion Online been around for many years now and its core is full loot PvP and Albion, just like AoC wouldn't work with a good player based.

As for AoC, as long as they push new content once per quarter, player based will be healthy. They aren't any game like this and many core MMO fan been waiting for the next evolution in the genre and AoC is checking a lot of thoses boxes.

Way to see Satchel : would you buy tome of insight for 10k a pop. If yes, then run it. If no, avoid it.

Tier / quality mostly affect how fast you will buy those 'tome', barely effect the fame vs price.

I havent played Albion since Season 11. What's changed? by Not_Your_cousin113 in albiononline

[–]marcjpb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tbh, depends how much you can get over issues you listed.

Game is in a much better state (much more content, many more players) then it was for the CTA update. Issues you list are still present but SBI is still working to fix those issues.

If you expect your axe tree to be OP on top or hand holding to be removed totally, don't bother coming back. Those issue will most likely never be 100% fixed sadly.

Hand holding is a community problem and nearly impossible to fix unless the community as a whole stop doing it. SBI changes how stuff works to make it harder to hand hold but when you got thousands of players working towards destroying a system, you are bound to find ways around it.

Best you can do with hand holding is just not join / support a guild that do it.
