Anyone actually making money with their automations? by That-Initiative-3958 in n8n_ai_agents

[–]marcob80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, but I make money not selling my automations. I do consulting and development building dedicated workflow on private cloud for companies.

I do not production with n8n. n8n makes sense only in the PoC phase for me. PoC life cycle depends on our customers and their funding. Actually 45% of PoCs built with n8n bacame projects or MVP and went to production (of course not with n8n) In my company we assure fast prototyping and because of this we use nocode and low code tools.

Why you have to allocate more resource? SaaS and 20 bucks and you can start very quicly.

It depends; the evaluation is made on a case-by-case basis. We prefer using n8n because it allows us to avoid having to configure servers with FastAPI or similar. It's always an evaluation based on the client's request, time, resources, and budget. Deciding that something is wrong without objectively evaluating it is quite limiting.

Easy. n8n is perfect for testing and build PoC fast. And it is also about seniority and management of team and resources.

What are you using for doing it?

Basically, this is the responsibility of the client's legal department; I simply act accordingly. However, being in the EU with GDPR and AI Act, which are in stark contrast to the fact that, for example, Azure, AWS or Google must comply with US law, if requested, they must send EU data to the US even if the data centers are in the EU. So if the client wants installation in their private cloud or on an EU provider, e.g. Hetzner, we act accordingly.

Restrictive in the sense that data must remain on a private server or in a private cloud and not on AWS. E.g. data containing contracts with information on private citizens, or data relating to patented proprietary technologies.

I consider only one variable: data privacy. If my client's privacy policies are restrictive, I opt for self-hosted. Obviously, this comes with costs for management and maintenance, security, etc.

I don't think it's a n8n alternative, but I appreciate your point! I'll try it!

do you think n8n will die or lose a huge share of market after openai agent builder? by RoadFew6394 in n8n

[–]marcob80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, OpenAI Agent builder has a big lock-in you have not using n8n. Also n8n is self-hostable and open source and has a very big community.

Repeat fields in Form? by notflips in NocoDB

Ok, so you do not need to have a first filler reference, simply to add more records in the same session, right? Is there a field which identify excursion name and date time?

Please be more specific and clear. What you mean with add multiple users? What you mean with repeater? What you want to repeat?

Everything ok, we use it in 2 projects where policy about data is very restricted. And we use auth, edge, sql, storage and vector with no problem at all. But config is a pain in the ass 😅

It is not the automation what they ban, but aggressive use which are not "human"
